oh I agree with you! I’m just wishing he would tell her. with Duan Wu’s personality. she will take care of him. she already forgave him for the attack, why wouldn’t she with the poison.

imo, it makes sense if he does pass away. because in the context, cures are hard to find and they really just die. but for personal reasons, I hope he survives. I just want DW and ZJR to be happy forever. but I also think in their time, it’s just not possible to be in lalaland.

I don’t think the main point of her character is to be liked or disliked.

she is stupid, rash and impulsive precisely because she is still from an influencial, sheltered family. she has never gone through struggles, so she doesn’t act with manners and grace.

yes! that’s the biggest point. they think they’re outsmarting YZJ, but time and time again proved they’re just making clumsy decisions. They’re shrouded with greed, ambitions and revenge, they can’t think straight

I actually loved the parallels they showed between DW and YZJ & ZW and CSJ.

hatred and bitterness will always cloud one’s judgement, plus we’ve seen in the past, CSJ is also impulsive, so she’ll keep making bad Decisions

btw, I love how everything is getting condensed in one area. makes storytelling easier to follow but also good to be expounded. you can have multiple storylines but it leads to the big picture!

I disagree. I think in the earlier episodes he was able to roam free, but being in the capital, he’s more bounded by the rule of the land. plus he has to be more strategic than just plotting.

I actually like how they did YZJ’s choice. it is definitely not noble idiocy. it is responsibility vs love and he chose his goal. He had a clear goal and pursued it. I also like that they made the characters think about their actions and decisions and rarely make lapses of judgment that don’t make sense to the plot!
