I agree. I think that’s what gave her the confidence to choose him. I think deep down inside she does long for love. If a guy told me that “even if I’m the worst in the world, would he still choose me?” And he said, “yes” I’d marry him in a heartbeat, even if I don’t love him yet.

I love the subtle nuances of their expressions. And I loved the proposal scene even though it is also heartbreaking. I cried so hard 😅😭

Oh I see. I do see that it makes sense drama-logic, because given shaoshang’s personality she would’ve said no. I think her mom being objecting to it, and her pride pushed her to say yes. I also think that because of what LBY said, she felt a little happy inside that he thinks highly of her.
