I just saw some of the future episodes clipAnd lizan gets shot twice and ran ran gets kidnapped or something like…
Prepare yourself for the ending. By the time this drama finishes, your heart will be shattered into tiny pieces. Buy stock in Kleenex ππππππ€§π€§π€§π€§
Yes, the novel has happy ending. The epilogue is the real ending. The epilogue takes place 10 years plus after they are married. They had 10 years together before he lost his battle with PTSD and killed himself. A few years after his death, when Song Ran went back to working as a war correspondent, she was shot and killed while trying to protect a child. The epilogue is told by Li Zan and Song Ran's now adult children.
How much is my impatience, so I just read the novel's epilogue.
Do you wish that you hadn't have read the epilogue now? How many tears did you shed when you got to the part about A Zan and then a page or two later about Song Ran? I was not prepared nor expecting that ending for them. I totally sobbed a river of tearsπππππ My poor A Zan and Song Ran. I don't think I'm ready to see that ending brought to life on screen, but at the same time I hope the ending of the drama remains true to the novel's ending and that they don't change it.
I came here to catch upβ¦ but maybe I shouldnβt have. The negativity in here is overwhelming and I honestly…
I don't understand either why there are so many negative comments. I have read the novel and the drama follows the novel very well. A Zan is portrayed exactly the same as in the novel. The drama is really not any different from the novel, except for very minor details that don't affect the storyline or character portrayals. I am loving the drama just as much as I loved the novel. All the scenes in the novel that left an imprint on me have been portrayed on screen and further enhanced my understanding and heartache for A Zan and Song Ran. I love seeing the novel brought to life so accurately.
I thought I was ready for the "Candy" episode (episode 11). I was wrong πππ I knew it would be a hard episode because of how sad it was in the novel, but when paired with that song, it was gut wrenching πππππ€§π€§ I think it is time for me to pull out the stock of Kleenex I bought because sh*t is about to get real for both Song Ran and Li Zan as PTSD rears its ugly head. Lord, this is going to be a glorious but very hard series to watch. I will need to piece my heart back together with a nice, fluffy happy ending drama after this series is over.
i don't think i've ever hated a fl more, she's selfish and manipulative towards the ml, refuses to let him go…
I understand the psychology of the female lead. She grew up with an extremely controlling and emotionally manipulative adoptive mother. If she dared to step out of the box that her mother put her in, her mother would use threats to put her back where she wanted her. This type of emotional manipulation and extreme control can cause significant psychological damage, as we see with Xu Qin having obvious depression and suicidal ideation. Even Song Yan picked up on the suicidal ideation. Yes, I wish that Xu Qin would have stood up to her mother on multiple occasions, but I also understand why she couldn't. Her mother had practically brainwashed her so that she would comply with everything her mother wanted. The person I hated most in this drama was Xu Qin's mother, the person who caused all the damage in Xu Qin's and Song Yan's relationship from the start. I hated how they gave her mother a redemption arc, too. I would have much preferred to see Xu Qin finally be able to walk away from that toxic family.
iQiyi no longer shows it as airing on February 7th. It shows it back in the "Coming Soon" category. I really hope that it is an error and that it didn't get delayed.
Well, I have watched the first 6 episodes and the trailers for episodes 7 and 8. Now what am I supposed to do for the next 8 hours and 45 minutes while I sit on the edge of my seat waiting for the next episodes? This is the first drama in a long time that I haven't skipped anything, but in fact have rewinded several parts just so I can rewatch them and take in as much detail as possible. I knew after reading the novel that this drama was going to be a favorite, but even I didn't anticipate just how much of a favorite it would become after just the first 6 episodes. I don't know if I am prepared for what's to come as the drama progresses π₯Ίπ₯π€§ A Zan, you are going to shred my heart into tiny pieces multiple times by the end of this series.
