why a drama should flow a novel as it was some holy book, in novel there can be a lot of thing that can not be shown in drama,
make one understand without flashbacks is Screenwriter job, what are you saying it seem Screenwriter did a dull job, or Screenwriter had a easy way out, screen write is a difficult job.

editing, cinematography make it much more sad and gloomy.
in a drama charecter life can be depressing and hopeless but do not take it to like they are professional sad people.

one thing i was queries, Why Liu Shi Shi for this flat, plane and linear character. this type of character is not go well with acting skill.
this drama might be got many change because of Ccensorship. and we got This EPs.
what ever happened, only very few actress can pull of this type character, and Production can afforded one of them.

why give too much emphasis on ML betrayal to FL. it was establish pretty much early on FL and ML do any thing to reach there goal.
what ever it was part of a plan or not, it suppose to happen.
and on the way we will see lots of good bad and silly plot TWIST. other wise audience will not buy drama.
i might be wrong drama might have a very linear story. with out plot TWIST drama might not have much to offer, and again i might be wrong.

Liu Shi Shi and Shawn Dou working in a drama with high budget, it should be fantastic drama to the end.

i said, i was thinking why 30 EP.
Cdrama with 28 to 32 EP always tend to shallow. it cant have a layered story, production fill the hole with colorful and dramatic scenes.
it is a big budget drama so we have all,
Even fast scene of drama is a very cinematic approach.
