i barely ever read wed novel, to be fair i just read 2 wed novel.
it happens to be i had lot of free time. so i decided to read Rebirth of a Star General, i nearly finished it, few chapter remain.
i find Rebirth of a Star General a hollow but very entertaining
there are lot of scenes will put in drama they are entertaining to read but ridicules to see.

for a long time i was thinking why adapted Cdrama has story telling problem.

oh GOD, 13EP left, and what a despoilment, drama name should be 'THE GLORIOUS DESPOILMENT'.
up this point story become nathing but DOODLING.
my thanks to Editing and Cinematography Dept. for there excellent work, my especial thanks to sound Dept. and composer with out there choice of music This Drama might have turn into HORROR DRAMA.
and also my thanks to He Hong Shan, most of her work as support character, i find only she can pull of character like this, childish, vileness, little bit craze, jealous and little bit schemer.

during 80's some Chinese Film Director came with a Brilliant IDEA, give male actors a feminine approach and give female actors a masculine approach. yes you cant turn male into female or opposite, but just with a idea one can do interesting thing.
this idea later during 90's and early 2000 give us some of the best Chinese Film ever produced like Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and many other i forget the name.
even though now a day Chinese Director make habit of OVER DO THINGS,
still it was a brilliant idea never the less

if you are fun of Back from the Brink type of drama then you might liked her character for that drama, and there was a lot gap from her part in Back from the Brink and Word of Honor, this gap hide by editing,
but in Scent of Time she give her acting skill fullest. no gap from her part.
everyone love me was a bad story telling, at least for me.

i dont understand WHY post the comment THEN, which actress was not pretty, they popular because they are pretty,

Zhou Ye did fantastic work in Scent of Time,
i might be wrong, production take her for this role after Back from the Brink, in that drama she very decent job.
but, as general not all actress is suitable for this job.
there is no Q. about her acting skills. i yet to know can she pull this role.

i was thinking same, what i heard about story, and we are in 12EP of 30EP drama. it hard to believe it will be only 30 EP drama.

beside 1 or 2EP Si Jin was fine. to talk about Si Jin, I've to take on few character of drama.

Princess Royal, i found her a mediocre villein, who playing with more mediocre player, and pull off a coup with some one whose son was a serial killer, her base of power some time does not make any sense. drama should have give more time on this character like her daughter.

specking of daughter, Cui Ming Yue one of fully realise seaport character, who have grand title but in the end she was nobody, and she died like a nobody.

Jiang Si' aunt one scene justify this character, when Jiang Si's interrogate her for poisoning, and she open up after her years of silence. what she cannot say all this year.

one last thing, nanwu plot line did not fully realise, it seem to nanwu plot line is there just to justify meany thing that happening in drama, nathing more nathing less.

so Si Jin was one of thous drama, which I dont know where to put them.
good, bad, ugly or semi good or quarter good.
maybe Si Jin one of OK drama.

problem for Cdrama name, Chinese title's English Translate did not give correct meaning, recently they trying solve this issue, but not yet there

you sound like Esther Yu is 1st actress doing this type of characters.
it is not, she is not 1st she wont be last, other actress get multiple hit dramas by doing this type of characters.

It just happened that EY’s voice is suitable for the characters she played. dont give this type of comment. coz i can say It just happened that Esther Yu taking or getting characters that suitable for her voice. this would be ignoring her herd work.

OMG, you think vocal up and downs, or voice of a character is pointless. that is you level.
most Cdramas are dubbed by voice actors if i am not wrong. when i 1st learn that I was amazed,
in drama one can do so many things just with voice.
in a drama acting, characters development, voice, script, story and editing 1st few thing propel noticed, knowingly or unknowingly.

i liked her work in A Romance of the Little Forest, Love Game in Eastern Fantasy, My Journey to You and Moonlight, and i have say, like it or not her voice has a issue. A Romance of the Little Forest said me that much, it is a child voice, this voice is good for singing. remember michael jackson

I don't know you are a PROMOTER or a DIE HARD FAN
A Romance of the Little Forest is the 1st drama that I came to like her acting. at the same time i noticed about her voice,
in A Romance of the Little Forest when she give slow dialogue it was really great. when dialogue go fast it get faze, if i remember right in 2scene her voice did not go right.

one more thing, if you are a DIE HARD FAN dont use idiotic line like "Save yourself from the frustration and let us watch it for you instead".

1. how less-slow dialogue she had in MJTY. I was surprised myself after lessening it.

2. If you gonna criticize, criticize all the nuances of all the actors, from annunciation to pronunciation in all dramas (If they are the one who voiced it themselves, of course) You just love to pick on her because you deem the voice so feminine.

3.Most of the Cdramas are dubbed, yes, it was 1 thing that amaze by Cdrama. one can do so many things just with voice.

check your Idol if they are known to be MUTE ACTORS IN CHINA before Judging Shuxin. after reading, I came to think you're one of thous DIE HARD FAN, as you think I'm a fan,
