guys is this good? the synopsis seems a lil sad
It’s good. But just like the novel, it’s romantic, beautiful, and of course melancholy.

Title Tender Light
Nan Ya character remind me of character Malena form Italian movie Malenawhat we see up to now Nan Ya - Zhou Luo…
Not only her character, but the way they filmed her walking through the town is also very inspired by Giuseppe Tornatore’s Malena. So pretty and heartbreaking.

We’ll have to wait and see how different is this adaption vs. the Hong Kong version (Lost Romance). They’re both from the same book 玫瑰的故事 by 亦舒.

Worst drama description I have ever read. Sounds like a waste an amazing actress's time.
The Story of Rose is a very famous novel by a very famous author. There was a Hong Kong movie adaptation from the 80’s starring Chow Yun Fat and Maggie Chung. This is definitely high budget with a lot of expectations.

His character in Nothing But You is different with much more room to act and express. But my favorite of his is…
Yes! Also all the scenes with his uncle/dad were so good that I had to rewatch it.

Wu Lei’s range of expressions seems to be very limited. This is my first time watching his work and it doesn’t…
His character in Nothing But You is different with much more room to act and express. But my favorite of his is the movie Upcoming Summer. The emotions there were so complex, heartbreaking, and beautiful. Because I love costume drama, so I also love Love like the Galaxy and The Long Ballad. Overall, I think he chose good scripts.

i genuinely want to ask you guys. if you watch a drama that you don't like or simply it just not to your taste…
Aww I appreciate you writing all that out. I’m just like you. When I’m not interested in a drama, I stop watching and no longer the interest to write about it either. Because different people have different taste, I would never want to rain on their parade. But I think people like to share their reviews and thoughts as a form of entertainment in itself. They are sort of like drama critics.

Positive people will spread positivity, negative people would spread negativity. I agree with you, if I don't…
I understand your point totally. On the contrary, this drama is pretty realistic and absolutely what some real people do 😅But yeah I agree with you that I watch dramas for entertainment.

I wish this drama was as bright as the cover. I really can't get into the story because I don't like the cinema…
The cinematography, the snowy setting, and the tone is exactly what I love most. For me, it adds the feel to the romance of life on top of the romance of love. It’s much more beautiful to watch than the light/bright face filters and filming style. I understand that there’s quite a contrast and not everyone loves this kind of slight melancholy setting. It’s definitely a matter of taste and preference. I also love the minimal make-up, the wardrobes, and all the food scenes 😌

I am loving this show! But has anyone noticed that she has like seven winter coats and one pair of pajamas. :)
Yeah and Wu Lei so many pairs of shoes and even 2 pairs of Birks for inside the house. Also very luxurious to wear Loewe for a poor student😅
