I’m only on episode 20 and he was introduced as a teacher’s assistant. In general, they called everyone that are classes above them from the same school senior. He could’ve graduated many years prior. But you are right. He does look much older 😰

Same Mandarin dialect. No, you’re not tweaking but rather good ears. Some characters spoke with their town’s accent and the mom was singing in Cantonese.

Very happy to see Wu Jia Kai again. He was great in ‘Stand by Me’ when he stole every scene he was in. He is great here too and so are the entire cast. I like the aesthetic of the drama which gears toward art film and somewhat anti glamour, but still high production value. Leah Dou is just as talented as her mother Faye Wong.
