Episode 13 😭 Gong Shang Jue’s character has so much depth, so much sadness. No wonder so many viewers fell in love with him.

Watched up to episode 7. What a great drama. The cinematography is beautiful. The lightning on Chang Lei made him even more handsome. And of course Jelly Lin pretty and so good in her role. Can’t wait to see Tong Yao.

Same Mandarin dialect. No, you’re not tweaking but rather good ears. Some characters spoke with their town’s accent and the mom was singing in Cantonese.

Especially the scene when he came out of jail and went to see Zhang Hao 😭

I’m only on episode 12, but Chen Jiao Rui was just as selfish and bad before the baby. Awful.

Very happy to see Wu Jia Kai again. He was great in ‘Stand by Me’ when he stole every scene he was in. He is great here too and so are the entire cast. I like the aesthetic of the drama which gears toward art film and somewhat anti glamour, but still high production value. Leah Dou is just as talented as her mother Faye Wong.

I agree with you. Her acting is so good here that I felt all her feelings when she came on screen 😭Lin Chuan is my favorite character in this series.

Same. She does her best in all situations and the way she loves Liu Jun is so deep, selfless and heartbreaking.

I didn’t watch it when it came out because I’m not a big fan of xanxia. I watched all 43 episodes on Netflix and really loved it. Love the story, the cast, the soundtrack, and Xiao Zhan so pretty.

The translation is a little off on Netflix. He said “Every year when the snow flower blooms, it’s when I’m coming back to see (visit) you.” You are correct that it’s only his spirit 😭

I like her. I also like the FL in Zhanghai 😅

San San, the least likable character playing the stupidist games. Shao Jiang is also annoying 💀

I just finished episode 7. She broke up with the bf at the end of episode 7. Tried to break up with him prior and then rejected his marriage proposal. He used her family to corner her into the relationship and to marry him 😔She said she tried but not in love with him.

Very sad but really good. Superb cast and excellent performance by Ou Hao. It’s not a light watch, so you have to prepare yourself 😭

It gets good around episode 18
