I get that the ending felt underwhelming to some, but I honestly saw it differently. Bai Jiusi may not have had…
Yes, it revolved around HRY and all secondary characters ark, but definitely not BJS. 5 mins of ML screentime in last two episodes with few words is SCAM.
I maybe I could understand it a bit more if we at least had some BJS action episodes before finale. But he was like a filler with his childish persona for the last 6 episodes! He wasn't involved in the main plot for 6 episodes out of 32, it's like he wasnt active for 1/5 of the drama, what ML is that.
I am glad that you like the ending and can enjoy it, but I just can't from whatever angle I look.
This is what someone explained and please use spoilers I don’t think Joseph is wasted, he might be lacked in…
I am an avid xianxia watcher. And I got used to most endings being rushed and unsatisfactory.
l don't mind sacrifice if it is done correctly and makes sense. LBFAD maybe not had long reunion scene, but it tied everything nicely. They didnt belittle the role of one of the leads over other, they both were equally involved in the final battle. And also, dispite my love to LBFAD, it was cliche xianxia drama, very straightforward plot with good worldbuilding. So, simple cliche ending is fitting for it.
FEUD, on the other hand, is much more complex drama with psychologically rich plot. That's why simple cliche xianxia ending cant work here.
Their ending conversation was too brief and it didn't really touch much of their issues. Even HRY told that she didn't say to him whatever she wanted. We watched 25+ episodes of them feuding to get just this few words of their reconciliation😭
I feel you. This drama had potential for perfection but I think the ending threw it away. I still like it, but…
Yes, i just hate the ending. I hate it with passion because I was attached to the drama so much. I think, I haven't been so obsessed with a drama since LBFAD. Such wasted potential for a good set up and amazing actors.
There is not that many philosophical messages at the end tbh. Cause and effect was wasted, as we see HRY still let herself kill drought dragon. Ughhhhhh, i am so mad at the ending😵💫😭😭😭
I get that the ending felt underwhelming to some, but I honestly saw it differently. Bai Jiusi may not have had…
They never even utilized their Yin Yang connection in the end. It was never shown HRY got stronger when BJS died, never shown the impact of imbalance, it just became meaningless.
I will stand my ground, FEUD is drama about two people, not about HRY, but about BJS and HRY. So, BJS should be involved in the conclusion. For me the ending should have been them learning to trust each other and then working together to resolve any past issues.
This is what someone explained and please use spoilers I don’t think Joseph is wasted, he might be lacked in…
Sorry, I can't agree. The premise of drama never have been the growth and journey of one character. It was always relationship drama about two people, the clash of their personalities and them learning to understand and accept each other.
So, taking BJS out of final climax of the show is just shtty writing. And this is considering we didn't even see his normal (real) BJS in the few episodes prior the final episodes. We never had one deep conversation between HRY and BJS when both of them not pretending. No discussion of their problem, no them both trying to find resolution.
I do understand why they needed ML sacrafice at the end (even I wished FEUD would be that one xianxia that won't use that trope), but the way they did it was lacklaster. For example, they could both fight the battle and when couldn't win BJS could sacrifice to boost HRY powers. This would allow use their Yin Yang connection, which became pretty meaningless at the end.
Throughout watching the drama, I really loved it despite it flaws, always tried understanding the characters and plot.
But this ending is just such trash, tbh. The build up in 2 episodes was pretty good, and they even build good villain in short amount of time.
But there was basically no payoffs for the main premise of the show. BJS was reduced to cameo role, secondary characters had more screentime than him. He almost had no role in the ending. They didn't give him and HRY even good honest conversation, which is crazy considering the drama is all about their relationship.
The ending is cliche, but very unsatisfying one. I really hate what they done, seriously, I was watching, always felt they building up to something great. But at the end I was waiting for nothing. And now i have such a feeling of dissatisfaction and disappointment that I wanna rage at screenwriter like HRY raged at BJS😭😭😭😭
HRY mentioned time travel artifact from the book, so I guess, it is pretty much confirmed they will change the past. Sigh... I hope, at least, they will have their memories.
Totally fair if it’s not your thing, but honestly? I think it’d be a massive character payoff. Personally,…
It feels like we watch completely different BJS.
He let her interfere with natural order in human realm, only mildly advising her against it. He stand up against Emissary, so she could kill the divine beast, even saying that heaven can't touch her. He didn't bring her back for punishment. He never tried to kill her, when she was causing chaos, stealing artifacts. When she came back, he mostly overlooked all of his duties to follow her around. Emissary asked him to deal with HRY but he never even considered following the order.
BJS has many flaws, but not fighting for HRY is definitely not one of them.
That would be such a lousy writing and like u pointed out,a very easy way out and all their growing as characters…
I agree with you. For me it would be very bad ending for a drama that marketed itself as unconventional and not cliche. This kind of endings always make me feel like writers had no idea how to end, and just needed a way to wrap everything. It never serves a logical conclusion of character and story arks for me. I mean, if it is the premise of drama was time travel or second chances I could understand that kind of twist. But whole premise of drama is the conflict that started from both leads mistakes and their emotional growth after that. That way it makes everything that happened before pretty much meaningless.
But let keep our fingers crossed and that our assumptions are wrong.
I just noticed that in BTS of HRY and BJS hugging (the one assumed to be the happy ending), they have same clothes as when she was killing the drought dragon. So, they probably go back in time before all the tragedies
I really hate that way of resolution of problems😭😭😭
Totally unrelated to the drama, but are there any good dramas with magical powers. Since I am not someone who…
1. Love between Fairy and Devil has perfect mix of romance, fantasy and angst. The only drawback is rushed ending but most xianxias has rushed ending. 2. Legend of Shen Li is very good. 3. Love game in eastern fantasy is cute. 4. Legends with Bailu 5. Blue whisper - the drama has similarity with Feud. There is misunderstanding too that leads to revenge. But here ML is angry at FML.

I am already so sad, knowing it will end tomorrow😭😭 We really deserve more couple moments after all the angst we endured.
I loved that she made paralels between Xiao Jian Shan and herself.
The way he hugged the column🤣 And playing with the elder's beard 🤣🤣
PROTECT CUTE BJS AT ANY COSTS😭

Gonna stop being a jealous wife now🤣🤣🤣
I love HRY but feel like she needs to grow up a bit.
