Actors Ji-sung and Jeon Mi-do will appear in SBS's new drama "Connection."
SBS's new drama "Connection," scheduled to air in 2024, is a psychological criminal investigation thriller in which a drug squad detective, Ace, who was forcibly addicted to drugs by someone, reveals the whole story of the 20-year-old altered friendship and connection with the death of a friend.
"Connection" was written by Lee Hyun, the writer of "The Prosecutor's Civil War," and "Trolly" director Kim Moon-kyo joined forces. On top of that, Ji-sung and Jeon-mi predicted an unconventional transformation.
Ji-sung will play Jang Jae-kyung, the chief inspector of the drug team at Anhyeon Police Station, who receives the respect of his juniors and the trust of his seniors within the police. Friendship, police work, and family distance themselves from dangerous things in order to practice the motto, "There is no weakness in personal connection and tight success."
He is a person who is focused on police work without any weakness because he is not involved in anything, and yet has a conviction to keep the principles. Ji-sung, who has proven his perfect character digestibility with his unlimited acting skills for each character in charge, will make another breakthrough in his life through Jang Jae-kyung.
Jeon Mi-do stars as Oh Yoon-jin, a social affairs reporter of the Ahn Hyun Economic Daily, who is assertive and outspoken. He is a Zandar-like person who runs into old-fashioned remarks regardless of his status, and he was unfairly fired from his previous job because he can't just pass on what's not.
The production team said, "Jisung and Jeon Mi-do will further enhance the completeness of 'Connection' with their untold acting skills that need no explanation," adding, "Please look forward to 'Connection', Ji Sung, and Jeon Mi-do's performance, which will mark a milestone in the K-genre through materials that are now becoming serious problems."
