Yes sadly school violence is everywhere 😭 and yes each to their own as I found part 1 very engaging but I’m a sucker for the storytelling aspects of shows, I loved that it’s simple and not over exaggerated 🌸 I’m really hoping the writer doesn’t disappoint in the second half as most Korean writers tend to do😫
Well no it’s not a mystery drama as per se , it’s based on real life events and it’s actually a huge problem in S.Korea with Classism etc However there is a small aspect of Mystery because as I’ve said before, we actually don’t know how it’s going to play out for the main players and that means it’s a mystery. Understanding the main plot is normal in almost all dramas because from the beginning we actually know what the story is about and that’s the plot, it’s how we get to solving the plot that really makes a story and for that we do need to see the second half of the series to determine whether or not the writer stuck to the plot, something the writers of AOS failed in massively..
If you go on YouTube there’s so much speculation videos based on these 8 episodes so obviously there’s a lot to discuss as these reviewers didn’t only make 1 video , they all are making videos related to this series on a daily basis so that says it and may I add that there’s hundreds of videos and possibly more than a million comments.
No the discussions are what ppl think will happen In part 2 following the planning etc in these first 8 episodes 😊 There’s so much to spectate, eg what will Ha Do-Young do, will he side with his wife or will he take Dong-Eun’s side. Will the old lady stay loyal? Will Dong-Eun end up killing any of the perpetrators or will Lawful Justice be served? Will the Doctor finally get revenge for his father? Who actually killed Myung-O, was it really YeonJin?
This drama is packed with dialogues and it’s also set up like a game of chess. Each move Dong-Eun makes affects more than 1 members of the perpetrator’s group and this includes the husband which is innocent and the child who is also innocent, so actually there is sooooooo much that’s worth discussing. Will the old lady ( landlord) play a role other than being an innocent landlady? Was the old man Yoon murdered? Why was Myeong-O at the hospital the same time the old man died, was it coincidence? Who is the old man Yoon? How will YeonJin’s mother pay for her crimes? What will Do-Yeong’s mother react when and if she finds out about YeonJin’s infidelity? Is Do-Yeong a legitimate son or is he a bastard son of a chaebol family? There’s a lot that’s worth discussing as I said but you have to really watch and pay attention to the dialogue. You cannot unpack it in one seating, unless you’re not interested in the mental aspect of the series.
You do realise that they’re adult courses in college, eg teaching courses. She was a young adult when she went to college because if you remember she dropped out of school at the age of 17 and she was working for a few years in the factory whilst doing her post graduate exams and then she went on to college to get her teaching degree.
Also Yeo-Jung did say he was smart so he actually skipped a few grades ( classes) in school so he was always the youngest in his classes High school to college, he actually mentioned this twice.
