I think not. They staffs and actors will by paid by their time. Now they also have to work less. I don’t see…
I didn't ask for your life story. I simply ask who you were to tell me my sympathy was artificial. But, by the way, I too have significant connections to Korea. Lived there for 10 years. Wife and daughter and grandchildren are Korean. I too have family in Korea. So, I do know a lot about the country and its culture. And I don't care who you are, taking a 40,000 dollar cut in pay is a big deal. You say they don't make much, then pivot and say they make too much and won't miss the pay cut. And by the way, many actors make between 100,000 and 200,00 per episode. But if they make less, then it is even a bigger deal. And I like how you seem to think there are hundreds of dramas just waiting for an actor too have some unscheduled free time to become available. Its laughable. There are only so many time slots and so many shows per year that can be aired. It's not like they can simply jump on the next show right after their show has been cut. You seem to think these people have so much money already that they can afford huge pay cuts whenever they happen. I'm glad you don't think 40,000 dollars is a lot of money. I sure do. A Beautiful Mind was cut for low ratings. Still screwed over the actors. And I'm sure Jung Hae In is A List, so he probably lost a bundle. But he's rich, right? So who cares. Geeze.

Why do you keep bringing up Hollywood. I'm talking about Korea. I picked 100,00 cause it is middle of the road, I think. My point is, even if they made 20,000 per episode, when you cut 2 episodes, you just cost them 40,000 dollars. What? They don't need that? And crew, I believe, are allowed to work 50 hours a week, so I went with the 40. And funny how you think they are just gonna plop the actors right into the next drama. We know that doesn't happen. They get 1 or 2 gigs a year. So, 40,000 dollars IS a lot of money too them. But its true, we don't know ALL the ins and outs of their contracts. But either way, to say it is worth 40,000 dollars for a two week vacation? In what world? The point is, they lose a lot of money.

Lol, this was fun. Maybe you are right, I hope so. I don't make anywhere near what these people make, but I am still a big believer in fairness, and that industry doesn't do fair very well. Of course, we will never know, because; who is gonna tell us? Have a great night/day where ever you are.

The reason for the cut is said to be "for quality." I don't think the actors have a say in this. They certainly can't tell the production house and the broadcaster what to do. I think they are stuck with going along with it. Crew? They work for the production house. They were told they have 14 weeks of work. Now they have only 12. They do lose 2 weeks of pay. And, they now have to wait for the next production of that company. Either way, they lose 2 weeks pay. Again, actors are paid appearance fees per episode. Cut the episodes, and they lose the pay. It would be nice if the production house raised their rates or just paid them for the 14 episodes. But I have never heard of that happening. Doesn't mean it couldn't. I know we normal folk don't have much sympathy for an actor making 100 k an episode. I get that. But if you tell me you are going to pay me 1.4 million for 14 episodes, and then you cut it by two episodes, you now are going to pay me 1.2 million instead of 1.4. That is a 15% paycut and 200k is still a lot of money. Take 200 k away from me...for quality purposes, and I'm gonna be pissed off. That's how I see it, but I hope you are right. I hope they have figured out a way to take care of everybody, especially the crew, but the actors too. Ok. I'm done rambling and ranting.

Having fun with this. Good conversation. Enjoyable, no animosity, lol. Now, you admit there are losses? But, you don't think $40k to $200K is substantial? They signed up for 14 episodes. If they only get 12, that is a loss. Variety shows don't pay enough to make for that amount of loss, and they just can't walk in and say, "I'm here." And the crew? Even worse. They have scheduled themselves for those two weeks. They can't just walk off the set and walk onto another set. Somebody else is already working there. I think we are talking big money here, for everybody concerned except the production company. I mean, come on.....Wow, I lose 100 k, but at least I get two xtra weeks off. No, if they are not being paid for the full 14 that they signed up for, then everybody loses big, actors and crew alike.

Then f*ck off! Consistent Inu hater. No need to put your whining here 😑
Oh Sunshine, your name does not fit your personality. Not so cheery, huh. Well, I don't even know what "Inu" means. Second, I have a bar of soap for that mouth. Third, I still think NIW is a jerk and always will. The way he handled himself after "RWTMR" was atrocious. He is so full of himself, it is disgusting.

First, filming is not complete. This is not a pre-recorded and air later drama. They have not finished shooting. Second, actors get paid by the episode. Crew get paid by the hour. Each episode takes about a week to shoot, on average. They have just shortened the drama by two episodes. About 80 hours of pay for the crew. The actors, can make anywhere from $20,000 to $200,000 per episode. Lets take the low end. If they don't shoot the 2 episodes and shorten it, the actors lose $40,000. If they are paid high end, they lose $400,000. They work less? 2 weeks? Is that worth 10s or 100s of thousands of dollars. Do you think cast or crew is going to jump right into the next project to make up that deficit.. Point is, everybody loses, except the production company.

This is NOT Cultural Appropriation, It's a FANTASY!!!! SHOW, NO HUMAN ON EARTH "CULTURE" is to SWITCH SOULS FROM…
Korea sits right next to China. Those evil empires often colonized Korea. Of course, their cultures would bleed together. China itself was overrun by the Mongolian empire. Those two cultures also intertwined. China does not own everything. Korea and China have many similarities. So what are you saying? Korea can have no culture because China has it too? Don't be ridiculous. Again, China does not own everything. Lol. I guess I gotta stop shooting off fireworks and eating noodles. Just stop being absurd.

cuz shes busy with her film maybe ....
So wait, you think she will be in season 2. In what role? She's not the lead, and taking on a support role in the same drama you just lead for twenty episodes is not feasible, it's a demotion. Lead actresses don't do that. At best I see a cameo, and that's no big deal. And how does not mentioning her at the award ceremony help marketing? I see people turning away from season 2, not heading toward it. A major role in casting her in season 1? He played thee role. He had nobody and he begged her for a favor. She did him the favor, and then he "forgot" her? The lead? The one who carried that drama for 20 episodes? And not at the wrap-up party, no mention of her there either. I still see something more sinister here..

Something definitely happened. You almost said it yourself. It is impossible for a director to for get the star of his drama that he just directed for 20 episodes. I will wait till the end of the next 10. Let's see if he remembers Go at the end of it, lol.

That was just before the finale. She hasn't said a single word since then. The other cast members have been silent too. Director completely forgot her at awards ceremony. Nervous? He's been there before. Then a no show at wrap-up party, and there are no photos or anything relating to her. Something is not right. And I have made nothing up.
