My opinion on this is a little bit different. The relationship between ML and FL lead isn't forced at all rather it's on the similar pace as any other drama more or less around 8th episode we get a confession. But also here if you see the different situations in which they together how they both handled those situation, their actions and understanding creates notion as to how they started to have feelings for each other. About the SML I think it would be more good if the further episodes give him at least some other purpose in the drama rather than just being a part of the love triangle because the character is really good and has lot of room for character development but is shown as having no aspiration or purpose in the drama other than being interested in the FL (like what we saw in ep 6) and even if his character is so good and caring but there are still some toxic traits in it too(like how he kinda thinks if ML being out of picture will surely help him get the FL, how he directly interferes in some situations or does things which aren't things he should do just because he has feelings for her). About the FL pretending to be the ex's gf is actually consistent with her character as she is shown to care and respect people in her life who are or were important. And I also don't like how they place SML in more or less every romantic scene of ML and FL where he is just there serving no purpose at all, they all should have there share of scenes together and there should be some overlap for us to see there jealously but doing it too many times is kinda ruining it.

I think both the ML and 2nd lead are good in their own way (although I am on team Jung woo from the very start). Both are expressing their interest in her in a way consistent with how they were introduced from the very start where the main lead is an introvert and hides his care and efforts whereas the 2nd lead is head-on expressive of everything, the only that I don't like about the 2nd lead is that in all the romantic scenes of the ML and FL, he is kinda always there like sometimes I think why has he not seen the suspicious person following her if he is the one who is always everywhere she goes. 🤣🤣🤣

It may not be the case because her actual plan as per what I think was to earn money and work, plus not to date. And that's maybe what that dialogue is referring to as "everything was going as planned until I met you".
Another thing would be that the dialogue was referring to Theia, as she wasn't living her life just surviving(which would be the original plan) but it changed as she is now the captain(maybe towards the end) and is doing what is wants.
