true af, he/she had so many well handled love triangles drama plots to choose from but decided to go with this new mess.

I still wish they try to fix things from now on. I am not saying to make ML and FL end up together just that all the characters should have reasonable endings and happy ones at it, especially for the really good characters, and not this messed up mishandled mess.

The way they unfolded the love triangle was so bad that can we can't feel good about sunho and FL, and also can't stop feeling bad about ML. What is even the point of the love triangle for being in this in the first place if they were going to mishandle it so badly, they should have just made ML a little bit toxic and not have reduced his character to I don't know maybe the guardian spirit of Theia? What's ironic is that SBS kinda use the fans for views because the way they posted things was like celebrating the relationship of ML and FL, then shifting the whole thing up to just the opposite leaving a really bad taste. Now I am starting to question why ML is made to do all the being the leader, protecting FL from the villain, hiding his so obvious feeling even if he felt really bad, and then finally taking the courage and opening up, just to know that he is late. Like wtf, they could have just made him a guardian spirit or something rather than a living being, if they were going to treat him this way. And they even ruined the confession part again by literally giving us the kissing scene right after the confession why its as if they have some kind of grudge against all the ML support and even against the actor. Seriously the most positive and mature character of the drama is now thrown down the drain.
And most people will start dropping the drama now because many are frustrated from how bad the love triangle is, some due to the unfairness towards Inhyuk's like screen time and how badly his character was handled in the drama by the writer (like he didn't even have much scene time but had most of the impact on the story). And many are not even able to feel happy about the FL and SML ending up together, as it's like just a kiss changed the whole feelings she had for the last 9 episodes where she was so adamant about not having any feeling whatsoever for the SML and continuously telling nearly all important character as to how much she like the ML & how she is different and the way FL and ML were portrayed together like the way they saw each other were genuinely worried about each other and all.
If they would have handled it well it would have been a completely different thing and people might even have supported the SML a lot more than how much he is getting right now, but the writer was like no I am going to create a mess.

You can try taxi driver, memorist or Chicago typewriter. First 2 don't focus on romance at all the last one has a good blend of all genres.

Seriously they should end the love triangle already if they want to make the SML the ML than just do that but resolve the love triangle. It's becoming quite tiring waiting every week for draggy love training to get resolved. And they really own an apology to the MLs actor because he gets the least screen time and now he might not be the one who she chooses so he won't get screen time afterwards either.

Slow burn romances are not my thing but still here it's bearable because of the ML and FL's interactions, their sweet bickering and the way they try to understand each other. 😭

Seriously I am fed up with all these senseless comments on the ML and SML, about the plot of this drama and all. Leaving very few really good reasonable comments aside most of the people are just talking shit like either they haven't seen the drama really well (like skipping the stuff too much to know so little detail), or they are so new to the reel & real world that they can't comprehend how the characters are functioning.
As for the hatred towards SML, I think it's mainly because he was promoted too much at the start that now it's backfiring too much as he is seen as a bit toxic, like give that guy sometimes not everyone knows how to mature about everything, he is learning, which is why we have a freaking drama about it, not a 2 min reel.
And people calling ML boring, toxic, cowards, etc. is just nonsensical and I really can't seem to understand why people even think like that, ML is the greenest flag in this drama like seriously. Plus the coward part like wtf that guy clearly understands from the warnings of the culprit that FL will be in danger if he confesses, and he is fighting the culprit all by himself taking all the danger, and even if he is hurt seeing FL kinda moving on or sad, he still gets up and chooses her safety above everything, and that takes a lot of courage. Maybe people irrationally think that it's right for him to confess after just receiving a first-hand warning about why they should not be together and just let the culprit do whatever he wants. I don't know if people are seeing the seriousness but that guy nearly killed FL, and might also be the one who tried to kill yoo-min 2 years ago.
I don't think any of the characters deserve hatred at all in this drama other than the person trying to kill FL, they all are good and if not are trying to become better. If you guys can't analyze the story well due to your inexperience in the reel or real life that is not my problem nor is it the problem of anyone who is watching the drama in a well-versed non-biased way. And if you want to post shit at least try using things that happened in the drama and start the full part rather than just the part you thought stands for your point which creates just misunderstanding. If a new viewer reads the comments that might get a completely different (and worse) view of the drama and characters which is all false and may drop or not watch it at all.
Really the insta and twitter community are soo much better than here, and I wouldn't have written all this if mydramalist wasn't my go-to point to find information for drama schedules, synopsis and reviews.

I think it's because he has never seen anyone actually loving someone like for example if we take SMLs parents from the flashback it seemed as they were in a loveless marriage with his father being in love with someone else but still staying in the marriage and his mom holding on to him even if she knew he doesn't love her. SML kinda is repeating the same thing over and that may be what that's making him a little bit toxic, and I thinks that's gonna get fixed towards the end as he now can see how much ML and FL do for each other and how you should actually love someone.

Well I too kinda want him to be a little bit like SML and just confess already as he can protect her more easily that way. I think the best thing about SML here is that he is so expressive.

Okay so what you mean is that trying to protect the person you love while feeling hurt because you can't confess or show that you are concerned about her directly other than as a captain because of the constant fear that the she is being targeted due to it. And losing his patience and finally confession while making sure she doesn't hear it as she is sleeping is pathetic well I guess in a way as he is trying to make everyone happy and make sure they are safe specially haeyi yet getting tormented himself.

I want to do the same but these guys have grown on me too much😂😂😂. Plus there are too many spoilers everywhere so I will eventually end up seeing the drama indirectly even if I want to put it on hold.

Now I am at a point where I think that FL is going to end up with the SML because our ML even though is the greenest flag in this drama so far is too inclined on protecting the FL and trying to be responsible for everything on his own (to the point that it feels that he is the only one living in the mystery thriller genre while everyone is in rom-com), that he might miss his timing for confession and the FL might move on which is perfectly normal as from FMLs POV all she sees now after his indirect rejection is that he is a responsible captain and because of the reason he is worried about her and nothing more. I feel so bad to see all this because ML is also hurt but can't show and worried but can't do anything more as to not raise suspicions, he has to create and maintain the distance because he kinda received a direct warning from the culprit (and we can all see the extent to which the culprit goes to do things) so it's kinda sad yet we can't even say that he is the doing anything wrong thing but all this might end up in a way that FL goes with the SML at the end, even though the ML was the one doing most of the work and taking the risks while SML was doing only the chasing part.

I feel little bit bad for SML as he is kinda repeating the same mistake as his parents did, from the flashback it was hinted that they had a marriage of convenience and SML's dad was clearly in love with someone else and even after knowing that SML's mom still tried to create the picture of perfect marriage (like the car scene) which all over time made her depressed, and this all indirectly led SML to be the way he is now.

also, why does it feel as if ML is living in a different genre than other characters like seriously leaving aside ML who is investigating the case, kinda fighting the corruption problem of his seniors, trying to save Theia even to the point of fighting against all his seniors, and protecting FL from the murder prophecy which all come under thriller section, whereas rest of the characters are in rom-com genre specially SML like why seriously why?.

I think the writer has problems with both the ML and the SML like seriously they both started off really well but as the story went by it become more and more unfair for both of them. The ML is not being given more screen time and most of what he does for everyone including the FL is only known to us along with his reasons, whereas on the other hand, the SML has more screen time, is showier, and much time to the point which can be considered toxic too (like how he stopped the confession, tried to manipulate ML to speak things while FL was around to arose misunderstanding, him stalking her everywhere, doing things without any consideration for her opinion, lecturing ML everywhere even if he is the one in wrong, and many more). And When it comes to SML he is such a nice guy if we kinda ignore all the points I mentioned above which are also not that bad but the timings are not on his side along with the situation in which he does those things.
As the story is progressing we can see that there is no need at all to drag the love triangle, and the more they drag the more toxic it will get. And I don't want to end up hating the SML as he has room for growth. Also, I don't understand why people are even getting SL syndrome when we have an ML who also is good enough the whole point of SL syndrome is when the FL has a better choice but goes for the ML anyways, whereas in this drama we have a diamond and a diamond in making and the FL is already trying to go with the diamond rather than the one in making. I think if the ML and SML were to switch roles from the start people would be complaining about the behavior of sun ho and having SL syndrome Jung-woo. Before episode 6, I kinda didn't mind FL ending up with either of them even though I was on MLs side, but after recent episodes, I can see why ML is the ML and SML is the SML, as the fitting growth for SML would be to make peace with his past, to be able to let go, to put other forwards and respecting their opinion, and actually finding someone who can reciprocate his feelings and value the efforts.

Yes I am totally with you on the point that they should give some purpose to the character of SML who has a lot of potential plots directions, I don't want to end up as SMLs of some dramas who do not have a satisfactory ending after being rejected which happens as they weren't given much purpose other than being part of the love triangle. And if we look at the plot itself it doesn't focuses much on the lives of the character rather what they do together, like not just SML I think we know even less about ML, but I think the upcoming episode may help us getting to know more about the characters. And I really really wish for a fitting ending for all the character of the drama because so far all the characters really good even if I am not that much attached to them as I am with the ML, FL and SML.
