There is only one novel but contains two stories: one modern time and the other- during the Six Dynasties.

Found the translated novel but dare not read it because of the corporal punishment of deboning the Prince. So sad to learn about him going through the execution for six hours.

Chen Xing Xu gets dubbed in Goodbye, My Princess. I honestly think his own voice is fine.

Yes! Watch it. One of the best dramas in 2019 besides Goodbye, My Princess.

Bai Lu is so excellent in this series.

Bai Lu excelled in The Legends. She was awesome! I hope she will be able to bring the character in this series as excellent as she had done for her character in The Legends.

One of the best actresses in China at the moment.

But, the male lead has to be able to complement her acting in the series.

The concubine was fed with medicine to prevent her from falling pregnant. Just like the Empress. The Emperor had done the same to her. Her family was too powerful in the court so the Emperor decided to balance her power/ influence in the court.

This story is even tragic compared to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Maybe I am older and more sensitive than I was in my teenage years.

Viewers are shown the romance between XF and GXW blossoming in Western Liang. A beautiful depiction of love between two young people during the Chinese ancient period.

In the novel, LCY, falls in love with XF, while planning for the attack on her grandfather's tribe. Apparently, he is constantly in conflicts with his own actions following the massacre.

That's why he decides to commit suicide with XF in the first part of their romance.

It's the voice that makes her acting irritating in my view. I just can't stand the voice.

I am not 100% enjoying this series because it copies a bit of GBMP especially the scene where NSY jumps off the cliff. I laughed when I watched scene.

The storyline is not unusual.

I can't wait for the new series which is directed by Li Mu Ge and starring PXR: 半日沧桑半日美人

The voice, not the actress, that makes the character ridiculous.

Having said that, I am watching Episode 7 at the moment and admit this series serves a great distraction from GBMP.

Will continue watching this series.
