Mu Chuan and LAR's romance is innocent as they spend more time together compared to the amount of time LAR spent with MZ.

He did love her. When she kissed on his cheeks on the boat, he was taken aback by her action. On the way to board the ship, he gave her his jade and propose to her.

I think he did say to Mr. Chai that he also liked LAR so the plan worked well.

Jing Chao as the evil Mu Ze is awesome. It's hard to find an actor who can play that part very well.

Mu Ze must be assassinated by LAR. Otherwise, the Lu family will always die even if she rebirths 1B times.

Mu Ze actually loved her. He talked about his mother's miserable life to her and poured out his grief to her.

If the man doesn't love the woman, he would not mention anything about his grief.

King Yi addressed Mu Ze as second elder brother. So, the Crown Prince must have died.

King Yi was never a Crown Prince. On Epi 2, he said he was the right candidate for the Crown Prince position before being dragged away from the court. Mu Ze also said Mu Lin's sister-in-law was sick in bed (Er Shao) so how he could know about the battle that cost the life of LAR's brother.

Mu Lin's mother was a Noble Consort (Gui Fei), the Emperor's beloved consort. So, ML was always the favourite son.

If I were she, I would have sucked up to the Emperor and made him her ally. Then, offer the entire route to Prince Mu Chuan by pledging allegiance to the Emperor.

Then, she would have a reason to marry MC and Mu Ze has no reason to marry her.

That's too much to handle

He loved her. Otherwise, he would have her executed following the execution of her entire family.

He gave her his family jade. The way he gazed at her shows a man who is in love with a woman.

He admitted to Mr Chai once he actually liked LAR.

Mu Chuan wants to complete his mission before they reunite. They vow to be together after he has achieved his objective.

Mu Ze is not as cruel as he is thought.

LAR is happy when she is with MC. But, if they are not together, it will be a tragic ending.

He only cares about his own survival.

I would prefer the rebirth storyline to be something like LAR teams up with Mu Chuan to win the throne while keeping herself distant from Mu Ze.

Is this story based on a novel?

LAR is forced to marry Mu Ze in this life time. If you observe her dresses and hairstyle in the trailers, they belong to her previous married life.

There is a scene where MC hugs her but LAR hesitates to respond to the hug. The hairstyle and dress style belong to the married women at that time.

So, I think LAR married Mu Ze.

Well, if he could do that to LAR's family, he could do the same to the Xiao family.

Actually, he loved Yu'er and LAR in her previous life. He poured a bowl of boiling soup into the hand of his concubine to warn her.
