Did you not see that I had said that these were my *personal* thoughts? I had never said that I'd thought that it was a bad choice and that they'd suck in these roles. I'm not dissing either of them nor am I lacking any faith in their acting abilities. I was just saying that in my opinion, I would have thought that the reverse would've been a better fit. I do think that they'll do a good job no matter what but I think that Fourth as Ida and Gem as Aoki would've stood out more and differentiated their individual characters and performances a lot more from their MSP days. Gemini's so naturally weird and goofy; he's silly, playful and unserious, I would've liked to have seen him lean into that side of himself in his acting more and his microexpressions especially considering the genre of humour. The weird yet oddly lovable and endearingly awkward guy is totally Gem and completely within his capabilities! I also think his physical humor would have also been a great additional layer! Just because real life Gemini is more like Aoki and irl Fourth's more like Ida (introverted) doesn't mean there isn't space for them to delve into nuances! I actually think that that would be so interesting.
Honestly, Our Skyy2 for the most part was a train wreck anyways, there wasn't enough time for workshops or time spent on the scripts and even the filming was rushed til the very end; it was more so a novelty and fanservice to the fans to celebrate these series rather than serious and well planned quality content. So in turn, I don't think that series set the actors up/brought out the best performances out from some of the actors.
I thought that Fourth did a phenomenal job as Li Ming in MLC and was so fantastic at portraying the young character's multi layered internal struggles in such a subtle way- HIS fights with uncle Jim!!- which would've been really interesting and cool to see when theoretically applied to Ida's internal struggle in the OG My Love Mix-Up. I don't know how to explain it but despite Fourth being the one who's the most clumsy out of the two of them, his body language while acting seems to be more precise and purposeful which in the pilot trailer (yes, I acknowledge that it's the pilot trailer, it should only go up from here) was kind of distracting when he was supposed to be playing someone so awkward and uncoordinated at sports. On the other hand, Gemini has this naturally effortless aura and vibe to how he tends to carry himself.
Also: Gem as Cinderella 👗🥿 I have nothing against the boys playing in their current roles, as I'm excitingly waiting in anticipation for an official trailer from them, the assigned roles just weren't what I would have picked out for them. Our boys are both all-rounders so I can't wait to see their portrayals and what they bring to the table in this thai adaptation of My Love Mix-Up.

Well Pluto is being filmed by the same production company as Ploy's Yearbook which looks like they're filming right now and they're updating their instagram with bts quite a lot! I don't see why Pluto would get different treatment
Decided to drop this after ep9 but today people are saying ep10 was on par with ep1 and 2.... I'm not sure if I really care about the characters enough anymore since the ep8 and ep9 were so frustrating, boring and stupid. Should I give ep10 a shot? I'm conflicted.

Oh thank you! I'll take that off my PTW list since I only really added it because it sounded like the gifted but with a bunch of actors I actually knew of. And yes, I'd 100% rather another MilkLove project than another PerthChimon project... Actually when Hidden Agenda was airing people were asking JoongDunk if they'd have another series together in 2024 and Joong said that they didn't know and couldn't answer that, they needed to see how HA would do first. I mean that totally could've been a ploy to make sure more viewers tune in but idk maybe gmmtv is actually listening to the audiences this year🤷🏻♀️. We did after all get Pluto announced before 23.5 has even aired! It gives me hope.
I don't really think GMMTV's pushing actors to do romance and BL, at least for non pillar couples (which PerthChimon obviously weren't before they were paired up) but I'm sure the pressure's there especially since it tends to open up lots of opportunities. But as viewers we're getting pickier these days and rightfully so since the quantity of BLs being pumped out of Thailand are up but not necessarily always the quality. Hearing about what Chimon's ship with Love was like, maybe he just isn't comfortable with the romantic roles which is totally understandable especially from the POV of someone who isn't an actor, like myself but in reality, it *really* does limit the types of projects one can take on in that industry. Even if the actor's already made a name for themselves.
But DR ends November 3rd and the CC MDL page says it'll air October 31st

I think I'd have honestly rathered Gemini be casted in Aoki's role and Fourth in Ida's role. I personally think that that would've been a better fit for them especially since this dynamic is so much more similar to TinnGun. Either way, I love the boys and will be sticking around to findout how it turns out!

Yes! I wanna see his potential explored! I hope that he's not chained down to solely be with Chimon, like some BL pairings have experienced. Have you seen Chimon in any hetero romances? I'm curious if BL just isn't his thing or if it's just all romance- which is totally fine, preferences exist but should be taken accounted for rather than ignored. I'd also heard that he was good in Home School which I don't think he had a love interest in... so maybe that's his territory
