I'm pretty happy with this ending. It's refreshing that for once the lead in a kdrama didn't go for the CEO type, but the best friend instead. I would've liked them to all end up in a 4-way poly relationship though, that would've been fun. But best friends to lovers is ok as well :3
What happened to the youtube channel....why i couldn't find it 😕
Looks like their account got closed. I wanted to watch the remaining parts of ep6 just now and it's all gone... My guess is that YT suspended them because of that little bit of spice
I'm a bit sad that there aren't more 'handsome mermen swim in the ocean' scenes, especially because from the BTS it looked like the boys trained a lot for that. Here is to hoping the next episode will bring back the pretty fish tails :3
A really good series! I'm so happy we finally get something dark and interesting again. Also yankee/yakuza themed BLs are one of my favorite genre, so I'm extra excited about this one.
played the whole episode in 125% speed and still way too slow. this series is moving at a glacial pace, slow talking,…
Yeah. I had to fast forward so much during this episode... And even when I skipped 10-20 seconds, they were still just silently staring at each other... The series and plot itself are good, but they really need to work on the pacing. This two hour episode could've easily been cut down to one hour. And when it finally started to get interesting again with the ghost, the episode ended lol
The novel this series is based on isn't a Yaoi/BL. But you can still easily ship the two male leads and there are no female love interests. Those two have a deep connection with each other that seems to be more than just a normal friendship and fate keeps bringing them together. Other characters in the series notice that as well, because every now and then they bring up Zhang Ping's and Lan Jue's close relationship and how they don't seem happy at all when they can't be together.
It's the little things with these two, really. Like the fact Lan Jue is a picky eater because most foods seem to give him a stomach ache (poor dude basically lives on herbal tea alone...), but when Zhang Ping cooks for him, Lan Jue is really devouring the food. Or how the scent of the flowers Lan Jue carefully grows in his home is the only thing that helps Zhang Ping with his nightmares. They also make a great detective team! So basically it's a case of "comes as a bonded pair, must not separate" :)
Very beautiful, but also very painful. I actually shed a couple of tears at the end and I'm usually not someone who cries over a series.
But despite the pain, I think this ending was the logical one. Their days were numbered regardless, if Shu He hadn't taken the poison one of those generals or Zi Ang's brother would've killed him anyway. And Zi Ang was already on borrowed time as well. At least their ending had some dignity + we got a little reunion and the prospect of them meeting again in their next life.
Answer about Thai fans: They've been boycotting the show, because they hate that theproducers changed things from…
Wow... I guess I'll stay far away from the author and the novel/webtoon then. I don't support bullies.
If the author is unhappy about some copyright issues, they should go the proper legal way and sue, but instead they're venting their frustration on the ones who're the least responsible... That's not a good look in my opinion.
Damn the visuals are no joke 👀 Also nice to see that they put quite a bit of effort into the costumes (I'm a sucker for those pretty robes ugh). The plot seems to be interesting as well. In any case, I'm super happy that we're getting more uncensored danmei adaptions now!
no but this actually pissed me off cause the audacity of that woman?? this is the first time i've genuinely started…
I was so pissed off as well. They really tried to make it Kande's fault that he's not the prince charming they have imagined. As you said, even if he had been straight and single, if he doesn't want to date Sumire cause he's not feeling the vibe, then that's enough of a reason. If the roles had been reversed and a male coworker had confessed to Sumire and then one of his friends had tried to convince her to give in because "he's such a nice guy, just give him a chance" everyone would've grabbed their pitchforks and reported those two to HR. I'm hoping there will be some serious consequences, but I fear it's going to be another case of "we have to be considerate of their feelings bla bla" situation ugh... Anyway, at least Kanade was able to somewhat speak up to them, that's a start. Hope we won't see much of those two coworkers in the future
Does anyone know why iqiyi says this is from Taiwan then here says China? I’m just curious cuz everything I…
It's 100% because of the censorship in China. They have to pretend the series was produced in another country and can't release it within China, otherwise it would get censored or more likely, completely banned. They basically put a sticker over the whole thing that says "this series was definitely NOT created in China, censors please look away :)". It's a loophole that recent Chinese BLs are using to get their series published.
Does anyone know why they're using Seattle and Bellevue as background city skyline shots? It's absolutely killing…
Maybe because that way they can pretend it wasn't shot in China? I can imagine that because of the censorship they have to say the series was produced in another country
Can't wait for Mr S-Alpha to get his ass handed to him 🤠I do wonder though why Hua Yong is targeting him specifically. Maybe those two have some history? Anyway, for now I just love how they're turning the trope of the rich aloof guy vs the innocent poor cutie on it's head. Hua Yong is everything but innocent hehe
The old man yaoi I've been craving! Also the height difference is killing me, Suzume is so tiny omg How could you not love him and his armada of plushies? I am seated~
Also me: sets the series to "high priority" 😌
You're right and now I suffer

My heart is full 🥰
