My favourite is his confession to her in the kitchen. He's telling her he does dubbing in his free time, hes a simple guy. And his confession was straightforward and genuine, no flowery words. "I really like you, do you want to be my girlfriend???" No mind games, he just does what he thinks is right. The biggest green flag ever, im gushing so much because the ML is 💯 my ideal type - introverted, calm, gentle and thoughtful. And of course Tan Jianci's voice is like butter melting on hot toast, its so warm and comforting. FL is timid and innocent, a very different role to what Zhou Ye's other roles are. She's such a versatile actor! Im trying to not binge because i want to savour the sweetness but its so hard and its my daily dose of happiness! I smiled so much throughout and I think of the show when im getting off work and it makes me happy!!! Ahhhh ill probably get diabetes while watching this but ill happily sign up for it!!

Also Ning Shisan said the horse is given by Uncle Ding, who is Ding Hui of the Heaven Path Liudao Hall. Then she saw a scene of all of the riding away but that was her imagination, because the next scene she looks there and theres no one there. NYZ had the life saving pill from Qian Zhao, so he probably took it and didnt die. Maybe its just be wishful delulu thinking but there are too many clues pointing to the CP still alive. At the start of that scene the school teacher also taught a poem of "old friends comes from afar to meet again", hinting to a reunion between Chu Yue and the CP. Our CP got their wish too, Ruyi wanted a girl and NYZ wanted a boy. There is just too much detail from Ning Shisan for him to be a mirage appearing in front of Chu Yue. If anything why didnt she hallucinate about Yu Shisan...
Legit the best drama to close 2023 with. Last 6 eps will be a banger. So glad LTG didnt act cray after knowing Ruyi is still alive and kissing NYZ. Already crying buckets when i saw trailer for ep36. So glad i have the next 2 days off work, if they drop 6 eps ill binge all at once.
Guys i just finished ep 31-32 half an hour ago, its 1am in Western Australia and i have to be up by 7am for work. But i cant sleep now my mind is racing, those 2 eps were ON FIRE. Chu Chu is literally the most annoying and useless chatacter EVER. Why did they have to include her she contributes absolutely nothing except me pressing the FF button whenever she comes on.
He wasnt a classically trained actor?? im surprised! He is so good in A Journey to Love, a stellar performance for an actor with only a few yesrs experience.
Great show and i loved it, but my fave side couple was Fangyin and Lv boss. Why did Fangyin have to doe, was that necessary??? So i rated it a 9.5 instead of 10.
Underrated detective gem!!! For some reason i never watched it and i thought it was supernatural themed like Liaozhai stories... but there are several cases which kinda link to the greater mystery and s1 ended on a satisfying note which makes you want to eatch s2 !! Cant wait!!! Heard they finished filiming s2 in august, hope to see it in 2024!
