How romantic, how romantic!! Episode 14 healed my heart a bit from the pain I got from crying in episodes 8 &…
Im legit in a mess rn. I love this show so much so i have to wait for eps to drop. On top of that, there is 80% chance it'll be a sad ending. My heart is already broken in advance. Even the dragonfly that Cui Liang picked up said the ending wont be good. Is that a hint??? ππ
Ah, thanks, is that the title of the OST? Moonset Ballad? I was searching for it, wondering what that song was.
I havent watched all of Goodbye my Princess but i know thats a SE and its giving me similar vibes based on 1 or 2 eps that ive watched of Goodbye Princess.
Yeah, I don't know if the subs made it obvious but Yue Luo is Moon Fall/Moon Set/Under the Moon so when the child…
Thats what made me bawl. Because in previous episodes the song already played when he thought of his people and how they have suffered and been displaced.
The novel writer/scriptwriter is just so good at developing these characters and relationships. There is just…
Love Cui Liang so much, he's such a gentle soul, and so kind, genuine and humble. His kindness towards Jiang Ci is purely platonic and so sweet. I will be so depressed if he doesn't have a HE or plot twist if he's actually a villain.
Also the OST (Moonset Ballad) playing against Wei Zhao in his sorrowful sword dance brought tears to my eyes, and the only person in that room who could feel his pain was Jiang Ci. That scene was done beautifully and a turning point in their relationship, it made her feel his pain, even if she couldn't fully understand it. And their next interaction where she offered him the bitterless porridge and he felt her empathy and i think thats when he started to stop hating her and begin having feelings for her.
Guys idk about you but Pei Yan is giving me major ick vibes rn. He's so gross and protective over FL and she cringes every time he goes near her. And the preview for ep15 is infuriating. He treats her as an object/property and likes her because she's smart and different, but wants to trap her in his golden cage. Then he tries to grab her body (again!) despite her protests, repeatedly sexually harassing her. He will never support her in what she wants to do, but only wants her to sit at home and look pretty, and has repeatedly tried to stop her from participating in missions "for her safety". This toxic 2ML is way worse than ML who tried to kill FL 3 times. It reminds me of The Tale of Rose and how one of the ML tries to change /own/ possess Rose. Arghhhh so gross i hate guys like that!!!!
Ren Jia Lun is playing really well, and his character is written in the way that makes my skin crawl.... I love…
At episode 12 the FL is nowhere in love with him yet. She is curious about him especially finding out about his double life and him being from Yueluo. But she is not in love with him at all, she even told 2ML she doesnt like anyone. She is just focused on getting her clay cat back so she can go look for her master after finishing her 3 month travels.
I actually donβt mind the ML being the way he is. I mean they started off on the wrong foot and she is the only…
So true. At least ML is honest and true to himself. So to the ones bashing him and concerned about violence=love, they shouldnt be. Because he genuinely didnt even like her in the beginning and resented her so much for foiling his plans. The 2ML is a bigger red flag for making use of FL and making her stay wih him despite her wanting freedom. Even Mr Cui said FL wants to be free and tried to speak up for her.
Saw many comments concerned about how evil/ruthless ML is, well that's reality of the show and how the character was written. This is a real case of enemies to lovers. He truly despised and thought NOTHING of her. She is just a naive, kind hearted country girl who sees the best in everyone. He's going to fall harder than ever and according to the OG novel, its a sad ending so im fully preparing myself. Crying in advance π’ this is going to be A Journey to Love 2024 version ππππ
Im up to ep7 and both ML are completely despicable in their ways of using the FL for their own gain. Their characters are complex and morally grey, which makes for a compelling plot, rather than the old tropey enemies to lovers theme. Heres hoping the drama delivers til the end!
Yes, its so good but so sad too, hope its not a sign of the ending we'll get π
