My goodness. Absolutely blown away by this show. Legit tears were rolling down when Wu Wangyan and Wu Shiguang turned to ice. This cdrama showcases the most powerful performances of the 4 leads. I was shocked at the depth and range Joseph Zeng showed here. Chen Duling as Wu Wangyan?? 👏 👏 👏 i could feel her DESPAIR through the screen as an old/blind woman. The other lively couple played by Ju Jingyi and Tian Jiarui are powerhouses in their own right. Ju Jingyi morphed into the playful, vulnerable and loyal nine tail fox. Tian Jianrui is a multi faceted dragon king with mysterious motives. Not one actor let the show down. Yan An is definitely one to watch - his performance here made a big impression on me. All the supporting actors acted like they were all veterans. I am enjoying this show soooo much!!!

Guys im really liking Ju Jingyi here. I really couldnt stand her acting before but she is so good for this role!!! Her micro expressions are spot on. Did she improve tremendously as an actor or did she just not get the right roles before??

Finally, the first Ju Jingyi show i haven't dropped yet! Even binged 8 eps in one go!

I miss this show. Why was it only 28 eps??? Time for a rewatch...

I had to rewatch ep26 and 27 they were soooo good. Sigh. Looks like more heartbreak is coming up in new eps. Can we not end it by the campfire at ep27??????

Cheng Yi please muster your inner Xie Huai An to deal with the haters, especially if they're influential people trying to harass him for sinister reasons. Cheng Yi as Xie Huai An really sent shivers down my spine. Hiding hateful intentions under a mask of coolness and indifference- having compassion but never forgetting those who wronged him. Such a morose and complex chatacter fully embraced by Cheng Yi. It shows his maturity and depth as an actor.

I think this latest case is my favourite so far!! It's alot more interesting with strange characters/twists, really befitting the theme of the series!

Strange tales 1 is a bit slow but Strange Tales 2 is a masterpiece. You'll love it!!

They wanted Dark River to reach the other shore. But the price to pay was too much. I like the ending. They dont have to be a righteous sect which is in the light. As long aa there is justice in their hearts. And they are free from all control. The path they take from now on is their own, whether in the light or in the dark. Being in the dark has its own advantages.
