So true. At least ML is honest and true to himself. So to the ones bashing him and concerned about violence=love, they shouldnt be. Because he genuinely didnt even like her in the beginning and resented her so much for foiling his plans. The 2ML is a bigger red flag for making use of FL and making her stay wih him despite her wanting freedom. Even Mr Cui said FL wants to be free and tried to speak up for her.

Saw many comments concerned about how evil/ruthless ML is, well that's reality of the show and how the character was written. This is a real case of enemies to lovers. He truly despised and thought NOTHING of her. She is just a naive, kind hearted country girl who sees the best in everyone. He's going to fall harder than ever and according to the OG novel, its a sad ending so im fully preparing myself. Crying in advance 😢 this is going to be A Journey to Love 2024 version 💔💔💔💔

Im up to ep7 and both ML are completely despicable in their ways of using the FL for their own gain. Their characters are complex and morally grey, which makes for a compelling plot, rather than the old tropey enemies to lovers theme. Heres hoping the drama delivers til the end!

Yes i finished it. Love it so much, rate it 10/10. Its more about character development and the emotional scenes about life made me cry so much. The music soundtrack is great too!!!

It had to be Qing'er.. he was simply recruited by Red Lotus sect leader just cuz he was smart? And not to mention he disappeared or they couldn't find him when Yuchi Hua was attacked. Sigh.

Also he had conveniently disappeared somewhere when Yuchi Hua got injured. And why would Red Lotus sect leader keep a random guy by his side... it was Man in White all along

Apparently only finished filming in june, probably wont air til 2025 bleahhh

Guysss i watched 1 episode and i loved it, stopped myself from watching when i realised they are feeding us crumbs - 1 ep a week? Ugh i might wait til they're all out before watching!!

I didnt know what to exprct, watched it for Tan Jianci and Zhou Yiran. Pleasantly surprised, i love case solving and shows like Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty and Mysterious Lotus Casebook so its right up my alley. I also love the humour, it's lighthearted and doesn't take itself too seriously. Found myself breezing through 8 eps without skipping and laughing alot so its a winner for me!

I LOVE all the characters and at first i thought Yu Chi Hua will be annoying but the way she looked after Ah Shu as her litle sis is so adorbs. Yuan Mo and Director Yu have great chemistry and im secretly shipping Yu Chi Hua and Leader Wang too 🤣🤣

Her acting is natural and so is her face. I like that she hasnt had her jawline shaved to V shape. Very soothing and pleasing to the eye.

Hu Jiao is sooooooo cute omg i was calling it Eddie for the first few episodes coz of Frasier lol ... 😆 beautiful performances by the lead actors, 👏 ❤️ personally not a fan of how they keep cutting back and forth timeframes but its good they always show the time/date which made it less confusing. Overall its worth a watch, although got draggy second half and i ended up skipping some scenes.
