but that sort of speech is like common since ancient times of any wannabe tyrant, warmonger and warlord and dictator?like…
ohh yeah, i agree with you. I'm also confused on that part. Ttj is described as being incapable of feeling emotions but he has a strong desire to seek revenge against people who mistreated him. I think that's weird too. However, in the early episodes it was shown that when he was little, Ttj didn't understand at all that people were bullying him and just accepted him for granted so he could eat. He seems okay with it because he doesn't understand when people bully him. However, somehow he begins to understand that people hate him and treat him badly. He began to have feelings of wanting revenge because of that. I wonder if he actually isn't completely emotionless? He might be lacking in emotional capacity due to being born with demonic bones. But, along with his life experience he started to feel a bit of emotion. Unfortunately the first emotion he feels is anger and revenge, so his capacity to feel other emotions (compassion, love, empathy) is blocked.
The story goes fast but not rushing it, in the book, things does happen quickly, it’s just that when we in the…
Shadow Army is whose army? I think ttj isn't a person who cares about other people, so he wouldn't choose ybc. Did his emotional abilities begin to develop at that time so he wanted to help YBC?

but I feel this is different from ttj. Ttj from the start could not feel emotions (happy, sad, embarrassed, etc.) different from the super power you mentioned. From the beginning when he was mistreated he only wanted to get back at those people. And when he started to feel a "sense of power" when he absorbed stealth powers, he started to become obsessed with it. Thinking that no one would bully him anymore and he could repay everyone for what he'd done to him with it. I don't think from the start, it wasn't shown at all that he had such a noble cause as defending the common people. He's really the type of crazy antagonist in other dramas who can kill anyone who betrays him without hesitation.
You know at the opening of episode 11, when ttj tried to influence general ye, if I'm not mistaken he said something like "he wants to unify the world so there will be no more war, because people/citizen are the ones who suffer the most from war" really made me laugh. ttj who is already like a crazy psychopath how can he possibly think about the people
I don't like it either...I don't know how he truly is, but I agree, for now, he does come across as opportunist…
Thank you so much for your reply. Actually, was a little impulsive when I wrote the above comment. Because, I've only watched half of episode 4 and was really bothered by some of the characters. Yeah, on second thought, I agree with most of the points you've written. I was too quick to judge the characters of this drama. And now I'm quite curious about their true intentions. So, I will continue watching. Hope for the better.
I just watched 4 episodes. To be honest, at first I found this drama interesting. However, when watching episode 4 I was really annoyed. I feel that the marquis is a selfish figure. Let's say that he couldn't get the spiritual fire and grass, so he made use of Liu Shao. However, he knew that Liu Shao was a very innocent person, how could he just keep quiet when all of his students accused Liu Shao of being in conspiracy with the demons. If Liu Shao managed to get both objects, he would be lucky. If Liu Shao doesn't succeed, it won't be him who loses, but Liu Shao. Totally opportunist. I know, that he said it was all for the sake of mankind and all that. But, for that matter, he could even sacrifice a girl who had just recently practiced martial arts. And again, the master of the white demon, how could he just take the grass that Liu Shao got. He stole it. To be honest it pisses me off. The reason that he stole it was because to save his brother also didn't allow me to understand him or forgive him. And after stealing it, he even thought about getting close to Liu Shao so that he could use him later, for the sake of that so-called clan. I'm really pissed off. Why do they think they can take advantage of other people as they please even if it's for a 'noble' purpose? I don't understand.
Now I'm really mad at TTJ for choosing YBC.
