If you want heavy dramas, try Lost track of time or princess agents, I cried my eyes out.

Really, the OST of this drama is so good!

I can't believe we already passed the half of this drama, I could watch this forever. This is one of the times I'm sad about the limitation of 40 episodes for Chinese dramas.

It's worth watching, but it's gonna continue a heavy emocional story.

Well, it made sense for me. By what the men at the restaurant talked, it's pretty clear he is the one saving the other blood slaves and going against the evil ones. After that, he wanted visit his friend sister.
And because of that, he has a million reasons why not get back to the Lingtian Palace and meet her. He had to fix his past and save his friends, he didn't want to put her in danger anymore, he had promises to keep and also, he could be afraid that she was still upset with him.
If he went back, maybe he wouldn't have the strength to leave her for his missions and could hurt her more saying that he needed to leave, knowing that she is the sect master and can't just leave with him. But since she came to him in the end, like he says: if you want, we can start over again.

I love so much these well made short stories.
The actors are good and beautiful, the production is amazing and the story is pretty good. Also, the chemistry of the MLs is to die for.
It's a perfect short, but I actually wouldn't mind if this one was a longer drama, it definitely could explore the characters and plots.

I completely agree with you about the FL recovering her memory and being badass.
That is what I'm most disappointed about this drama, she recovers part of her memory and never try to look for more information and train to get her powers back. So, most of the time she is week and have to be saved by everybody.
It supposed to have a season 2? so that is why they explore this part? Anyway, I was hoping so much for her to be a badass, but it never happened 😢.

Well, it's a heavy story, prepare the tissues and yourself to fell very sad watching a lot of awful characters/things. But I would say to continue, it's an epic journey.

I'm doing exactly it, on the wait for Shenli I decided to try this one (although it was already in my watch list).
What I can say is that I liked, it's an epic journey, but has a darker and depressing story.
You should try it if you like more more serious and heavy emotional dramas. Otherwise, look for something lighter, this one is gonna make you cry.

I never thought I could at the same time hate and love a character like I do with Yu Wen Yue.
What I'm most disappointed in this drama is that the FL powers should be awaken, but she never train/uses it.

Whatt, are you not satisfied with all the tension and angst of the the ML and FL relationship.
The FL having to accept the marriage she doesn't want and every day seeing the ML, but she can't be with him.
The ML lost because he doesn't know what to do with his feelings, discovering what is love, jealous etc.

I agree, actually, it's pretty clear that he doesn't know how to deal with his own feelings, it's a new territory for him.
In the last episodes he even say that he doesn't know why he is annoyed with Furong, that he never felt like this before.

I like the theory that he is more than appears to be, bit I'm not sure. ZLY also have that power with the eyes, she uses it in the mortal realm.

It has been a torture to wait for each episode everyday. I'm so sad that there isn't more.
