Zuo Ye is such a good actor.
I watched My journey to you and he does a completely different character. Here his character is very seductive and dominant.
Really good, different roles well delivered.

I decided to give it a try after watching others like the blood of youth, who rules the world, legend of awakening and my journey to you.
I think that was a mistake, they raise the bar, so I can't find it as exciting as the others.
I mean, it's good, but it's not that good in terms of production, actors and story.

I agree. The hair style is awful, it's probably a historical/cultural thing, but even so.

So cool and finished so fast, the story is pretty god, it reminded me of douluo continent.
The actors are good. The main character is a few lines kind of person and the actor delivers the performance.
On a critical point of view, for a 2023 drama they could do the effects better and the end it's a bit rushed. There are so many lose ends, it's a shame if there isn't a second season.

Abusive relationship being portrait as love? It was hard to watch all the abuse, and in the end she love him. Stockholm syndrome at its best.

I didn't say I agree with that, down below you can find my comment that I hated the drama because it was awful to watch all the abuse, I was trying to find a reason why so many people liked it, that is what I could think.

Rate this drama lower than 9 it's a crime.

Based on a novel for me is that is based on a book or something like that.
Like Lost you forever is a based on novel series Book of Montain and sea.

But this is not then, it's a script, right?
So there may never be an end without a new season

It would be cool if she didn't, than she could survive that bad encounter in the end and return to her lover.

It's beautiful, but slow paced and with hidden emotions. Although the romance is somewhat always present, sometimes it gives more space to the other main plots concerning the family and martial arts world.
It's an amazing drama, I do recommend watch it.

It's gonna take some time to get over this drama, I'm overwhelmed by it.
It's definitely one of the best of the year, right beside Lost You Forever, with the plus of more fight scenes.
So many emotions, not a dull moment and absolutely beautiful production.
I didn't even fell the hour length and wanted more.
