Gosh I really hate how pio is always lashing out at leople who cares about him. Jaein only wants to help him yet he snaps at her everytime. She has always known how much pio loves performing and she knows the only chance to get through his slump is choi jeongyo. But what did he do?? He snapped at her just because she asked jeongyo first, feeling like he was beneath jeongyo that way.

Pio really doesn’t deserve hong jaein and choi jeongyo. In the past his target to lash out was choi jeongyo everytime his insecurity flares. I’m so sad to see hong jaein had to tiptoe around pio. She is only back to her old self when meeting jeongyo. I hope she leaves pio, she doesn’t desrve relationship like this

After 9 years he still can’t accept his friend was just better. Yeah he wasn’t bad friend but neither is he good friend, few times he made decision without telling jeongyo first, then would just say “you would help me right?” yes that right here is mental manipulation. And you just answered about how he doesn’t really look for jeongyo to see him again but to convince himself that his mother didn’t do it.

I find it laughable that you guys kept saying pio loves jeongyo. If he is then it should be the opposite, he was able to play because he felt jeongyo was watching over him, he needs to play better so he could uncover what happened to him, and since he won using jeongyo’s score, he wants if they meet again jeongyo would be proud of him. Then when he found out jeongyo had died, jeongyo instead disappeared and he lost the anchor of his playing.

The way it is now, it was guilt and fear. Every time the ghost of jeongyo appears, he slips up. Ghost of jeongyo kept appearing because he feels like he is on the tip of cliff. The moment people found out what happened to jeongyo, his career would be over and it terrifies him. He always says jeongyo is important to him, clearly this importance is only when it doesn’t pertain his needs for validation. I hope ep 7 will change my mind, since to me ep 5 and 6 changed my impression of him so much

Choi jeongyo was also suffering from his mother’s death, abandoned and hated by his father and being chased by loan shark. Pio has 9 years to fix his life but he didn’t, in that time he still lives with his mother who he suspect had killed his friend who had helped him so much. What am i supposed to think of this kind of person?

He enjoyed glory brought using borrowed things and deny knowing his friend because he knew it wouldn’t be good for his career. In that 9 years, he is still jealous of a friend who he doesn’t know whether he is alive or dead, whining about how his teacher prefers that missing friend.

Does that 9 years of searching redeems him? To me, no. Why look for him for 9 years instead of trying to investigate people around himself? Does deep down he doesn’t know that the only reason choi jeongyo was hurt is to clear his path? Does he really think of choi jeongyo as good friend? Does he think of him as important? But we see again and again when it comes to looking for validation that friendship become number 2
