I only really watched the first 2 eps. The rest were word of mouth, so a bit of light spoilers. So if you don't want to read then ignore me.
Anyways, this is mainly a supernatural action series, but the action scenes are honestly lacking. Some of the actors need more training. Then there are around 14 characters with 5 of them being more important than the rest, but it's only 8 ep. So the writing has to be quick & to the point to develop all of them. Long story short, it didn't. Even the 5 most important didn't get developed apparently. Lots of meandering in the first 4 ep I heard & eating/PPL. Then I also heard Seo In Guk & Park Hyung Sik are wasted. Barely any screen time. I think that's the major stuff that made it a bad drama. If you still want to try it, best of luck.
Since our ML is a single father, what if the mother is the chairman daughter who was killed? I think this make…
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe Chairman's daughter died 15 years ago. But the child is still in kindergarten so unless I'm wrong I don't think so. That would've been a good one though. Edit: Just double checked & yeah 15 years ago. Sorry, but nevertheless would've been a good one.
The whole clause nullifies the contract anyway as it's illegal. She can't enforce the contract in a court of law…
The attorney did stress that she needed to fulfill 3 conditions in order to get the inheritance. And Iām not too law savvy so I donāt know the specifics on conditions in a will so I wonāt focus too much on it, but as you said by all means she should inherit regardless.
The whole clause nullifies the contract anyway as it's illegal. She can't enforce the contract in a court of law…
Yeah, Iām just saying even if we were to buy that euthanasia was somehow legal in court then she still wouldnāt get the $$$. Like who wrote those scene?
PS This reminds me of Knives Out & the Slayer Law, where the inheritor loses all inheritance right if they are somehow, someway involved in the death of the deceased.
Yeah, the euthanasia clause was really stupid & seems to exist just so it can be used against her later on. Also, based on that clause wouldnāt it mean she canāt inherit the fortune? As she wouldnāt be able to complete that final part. Ugh, plot hole already.
With that being said though, I actually really like it so far. Thereās enough intensity to burn the scene & the episode flies by so fast. Been a while since I watched something like this. Jeon Yeon Been as Bu Semi felt like a whole new person compared to Yeong Ran. And thought it was short the super little interaction between her & Jin Young is already pretty fun. I hope it keeps it up & eventually gains traction.
So far it's pretty interesting, but I agree that the bandit took too much screen time. All of this could've been 2 ep. I'm already seeing a murky drama in the making. I hope I'm wrong. Rowoon & Ye Eun are doing pretty good so far.
It was okay & yes you definitely need to watch Kill Bok Soon first to not feel confused about this spin-off. There are a lot of call backs to the original film & it's consequences is what kick starts this spin-off.
As for the film, I feel like the film lacks tension for the most part so it just sort of meanders for most of the film. It's only when we reach the 3rd act that their is any actual tension. There are some conflicts that the characters face, but never anything that grips you. The best I can put it, the movie started, but was so focused on character building that the story barely makes progress until halfway through. So you really have to put up with it. Again, okay film.
Yeah, I went in this blind, but the humor is quite LOL. I do have to say that this is definitely more geared towards men than women. The actresses are adult actresses & they do act lewd in various scenes. Even showing off a little more than youād think. Then the premise of actually kissing them can definitely be a bit much if youāre not sold on it.
It really showcases the comedianās ad lib skills. Gekidan Hitori was clearly the best of them & some of the things he said was cheesy, but also romantic. It worked. Iāve gotta give props to the actresses. They were able to ad lib off of the comedians & even make for a somewhat believable act. Not the best of course, after all they arenāt mainstream, but not bad for what they are.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of āfillerā which is ironically the story part of the show. As one of the hosts said āthis is a bit too much for an ad lib comedy show.ā
In short, itās a mixed of weird adult humor that you just go with it or you donāt.
Honestly, the only couple I buy working is DongHa & Soojin. They had a lot of similarities & their conversation could clearly keep going. Geonwu seems like a really chill dude so I think he might have a chance with Dahye. But JeongEun & JiEun are clearly for the show. JiEun probably chose him to not look bad or something along that line. Not buying it. Overall the show is only fun for the actor's reactions & not really for anything else.
Dear passers-by (not Chengyi fans),I've seen a lot of comments saying it's boring. Is it really? I was so hyped…
Preface: Iām not a hardcore fan of anyone. I like all actors & actresses equally & consider myself pretty objective.
So I feel boring is not the right word to use. Rather I would say it feels very inauthentic. Everything from the story, set design, clothing, characters & even acting feel like thereās no passion behind it. It feels too much like an assembly line product & quickly presented to us the audience. I objectively find Chengyiās acting very stiff & none of his original charisma. Also, the story so far is pretty basic for a transmigration series so I donāt think youāll miss anything if you skip it. Hope that helps.
i know some will disagree with me but its just my opinion:6 episodes in, it's fun but i cannot say i'm hooked.…
Nah, there's definitely a lot of things that are off. Set design, comedy, plot, presentation. However, as objectively as I can what I find off is Chengyi's acting itself. I don't know what it is, but it feels like he's giving a soulless performance. He was great in Lotus Case Book, but his acting is just so weirdly off here. Might just be me, but I don't think I can watch it anymore. Good luck to you.
They're defending him because its personal, LOL. They're their friends so they are a bit biased. And its okay.…
That may be true for Gwanhee, but not for the rest of the panel. Like the others are trying to make him sound reasonable when he really isnāt. Heās all emotional right now & itās not something to defend. Rather the opposite.
Funny enough I actually like Dong Ha. He seems to know if heās compatible with a girl immediately after a date. Heās not like other people who bounce back & forth between people.
PS I personally think the premise was too simple so everyone started dropping it. There wasnāt enough dramatic moments.
Congrats Dongha & Sujin. I understand why Yongji feels so proud of her friend. Dongha is the most open minded of the 4 guys. He puts his all into whoever heās dating & heās clear. The other guys are lacking in ways. But yeah the panelists are defending Jeong Geun too much. When they are defending someone too much then thatās when you know that person kind of sucks. Reminds me of Gwanhee.
It basically stays the same. And yeah her character's personality just doesn't work. Totally miswritten. The only…
I enjoyed the series for what it was: simple. So trust me when I say this, but you didnāt miss much. There are a lot of things that are lacking bcuz the series is mainly surface level. Also, even the big lovers of this series will admit that the last 3 or so ep have issues. If they had issues then you would have it worse.
Iām not invalidating anything as I said ādepth & nuance.ā 2 things, not one. Besides I could ask you the same. Ep 17 & 33 also literally spells things out for us. However, I also said deep. Some things can be nuanced while others can be deep like what I just described. This is just one scene Iām describing, not the whole series. There can be nuance in other scenes.
For example when she dresses up as a dancer, that can be a nuanced scene. In that scene she wore female clothing for the first time, but she also wore a mask. This can be a nuanced way of telling us the audience that even though she is finally taking a step to rediscovering her femininity she is still wearing a mask both literally & metaphorically.
Sure she hesitated about shedding men's attire, but the same detail should've been given to her wearing female clothing. But here you are saying she did it without thought as though wearing female clothing wouldn't affect someone like her who is struggling with identity. The writers should have made her give more than a thought & more than just a quick camouflage. As you said the story is about identity crisis so as writers they should explore it when the chance arrives, but no this series continually touches upon it quickly or in this case completely ignore it & move towards the next thing. As for her insecurity, it was quickly brushed off with no time given too. Besides it's her own experience & thoughts on what she looks like with makeup that should matter & be used to show her insecurity. We should've seen her be surprised at herself with makeup for the first time, question it, have TaoTao acknowledge that she looks great with makeup & THEN have her seek recognition from Xiao Jue. The end product though is all surface level. Just glossed over quickly.
