Just contender? He is already the worst dad. The man has no redeeming qualities
I’m just keeping my options open—after all, the year’s barely begun, and so far he’s competing against… absolutely no one. 😂

So apparently, NX’s dad isn’t just a bad husband—he’s also a strong contender for Worst Dad of the Year. Somebody hand this guy a trophy for being the family’s biggest disappointment.

Yunxi is a He's ally. She discovered (actually unruly sis discovered and then told Yunxi) the shoe print belonged…
At this point, I trust no one. Everyone is playing their own game—some openly, others hidden in the shadows. I admit that, given the current options, Yunxi might secure the better end of the deal. Still, unless she has a card up her sleeve to discard HMX at the right moment, she’s taking an enormous gamble. That man is unpredictable, almost dangerously so.

She is undeniably calculating and formidable, shaped by the weight of her circumstances. Yet whether she stands as ally or adversary remains uncertain—and for now, my trust is withheld.

Yunxi is a He's ally. She discovered (actually unruly sis discovered and then told Yunxi) the shoe print belonged…
Shanbao’s long-term prospects are complicated, but any decisive impact is still a long shot. There are too many players involved, each with their own agenda, and Shanbao is no easy prey. If Yunxi failed to account for the fallout from her last scheme, she’s hardly a serious threat. Until now, the Rong Sisters have managed to stay in the clear, but if Shanbao is dragged into the mess as a co-conspirator in Yang’s murder, the family’s reputation will take a devastating hit. Believing she could emerge unscathed would be painfully naive.

At present, the Fifth Sister is the more calculating and formidable rival among the Rong Sisters. If Yunxi’s schemes are exposed, she might avoid severe punishment, but her desperate grasp for the throne would slip—unless she eliminates every competing candidate.

As for Shanbao, she’s either softhearted or playing a subtler game of her own. She never strikes at Yunxi proactively, moving only in defense. Yet with her intellect, if she chose to, she could wipe the floor with Yunxi.

I understand your point, but I still believe that if Yunxi truly conspired with He to kill Wanwan, it would be an utterly foolish move. Attempting to discreetly harm Shanbao is one thing; openly targeting Wanwan in an environment under active investigation, with officers present, is an entirely different level of recklessness. If her strategy involves such a blatant and ill-timed act, then she hardly qualifies as a competent schemer.

If Yunxi truly collaborated with He Xingming, I fail to see what benefit she would gain. Wanwan dies, and Bai is framed—yet how does this lead to Shanbao’s downfall? It seems to me that Yunxi might actually be manipulating He Xingming, unless the upcoming episodes clarify how this entire scheme ultimately affects Shanbao.

Yan Bai Lou is practically wearing a neon sign that says “Main Villain Incoming,” and I’m convinced the whole Wanwan death drama is just Shanbao’s 4D chess move to smoke out the real killer. Wanwan? Oh, she’s probably sipping tea in hiding, waiting for the perfect comeback. Shanbao even pulled that calculated hug with Jianglei like, “Nope, let me block your hero moment, buddy.” Meanwhile, the 4th sister deserves an Oscar for genuinely mourning—clearly a good heart there, just poisoned into hating Shanbao. And honestly, can someone explain this release schedule chaos? One episode today? What is this, a slow-burn hostage situation for viewers?

He didn't wavered when given multiple chance to revenge FX.He even stand up for FX when he heard FX would be in…
Absolutely. He’s crystal clear: if anyone’s going to punish FX, it’s him—no one else gets to bully or harass FX on his watch. YS’s character is a masterclass in strength without malice; he proves you can stand tall without stepping on anyone. He settles scores, but never at the cost of his morals—that’s his power. Good, but never gullible. Cross his bottom line, and you’ll find out exactly why he’s both admirable and formidable.

Title To My Shore
YS’s love far surpasses FX’s. To be betrayed, plotted against, and have your trust shattered by the person you love the most—and yet still find the strength to trust them again—is an act of extraordinary resilience. Forget “difficult”; it is nearly humanly impossible to rebuild complete trust the way YS did.

YS is a truly well-rounded character. He is deeply aware of his emotions and never forces himself into anything—whether it is pushing FX away or choosing to accept him back, YS remains decisive and composed in every choice he makes.

I can’t help but wish FX had experienced a kinder childhood, surrounded by love instead of constant schemes. Growing up in an environment where survival was his only focus left him scarred and mistrustful. He loved YS dearly and longed to keep him close, but the only methods he knew were manipulation and control. If he had known love and safety as a child, perhaps he would not have been so broken.

I learn to hit the fast foward and these romance cdrama has been more enjoyable. IMO You Are My Glory had waaaaay…
Totally! I can’t stand skipping the leads’ moments—it feels like a crime against joy! From now on, I’m swearing off starting any full-length modern C-dramas while they’re still airing. Learned my lesson: I binged You Are My Glory after it wrapped and happily skipped all the filler without guilt. 😆

The moment when he clearly expressed his need for space, rather than allowing the situation to become difficult for them both, was truly admirable. Equally, her ability to respect and understand his feelings reflected profound maturity. This is the true strength of any relationship: the ability to remain close while honoring each other’s personal boundaries and emotions.

I still wished he had tried to communicate. Let’s face it—he never truly let it go, and that is entirely understandable. It wasn’t a small incident that could simply be brushed aside and forgotten. The only real way to release that burden would have been to talk to her. Even if she didn’t remember, the conversation might have lightened the weight he was unknowingly carrying.

The father, on the other hand, is the worst of them all. He allowed the mother and daughter to act as they pleased, then attempted to compensate NX with money—an act both hollow and disgraceful. Worse still, he had the audacity to ask NX to break up outright, yet he lacked the courage to admit his own mistakes and face the consequences of his actions.

I suggest FL's another drama 'Reset' if you haven't watched it yet. Very good mystery-thriller.
I watched Reset around the time it was released. While she often portrays bubbly, quiet characters, I find her far more captivating in fiery, intense roles.

As a backstory, it is a solid one, but the way the show presents it simply doesn’t connect with me. My disconnect stems not from the story itself, but from the show’s direction—and that is what frustrates me even more, because the premise is truly heartbreaking.

We have all, to some extent, experienced moments where we worked tirelessly for something, only to miss it through no real fault of our own. If handled properly, this could have been the most relatable aspect of the narrative.

If the story had kept the accident tied to the date for only a few months, it might have been understandable. After all, accidents occur on the road by chance; they can happen at any time if fate wills it. His emotional pain is valid as well—basic decency dictates that one would visit someone they know after such a devastating incident, regardless of romantic involvement.

However, continually linking the accident and the date long after the event is neither wise nor practical. It feels counterproductive to his healing process, making it harder for both the character and the audience to move forward.

I understand LYS’s perspective; however, when the story emphasizes it, whether directly or subtly, it leaves me unsettled. I would have much preferred if he had confronted NX himself before pursuing her, given that he still carried a knot in his heart. Of course, we wouldn’t have this story if everything unfolded practically, since drama often thrives on miscommunication and avoiding a realistic approach to problems.

I do hope, however, that some form of karma finds NX’s father and his side family, rather than the narrative dwelling excessively on that aspect. I have not read the novel, so I am unsure how it ultimately unfolds.
