ball boy tactics is on my to-read list ( i started it but put it on hold bc i was reading so many manhwas at the time that i needed to prioritize ), i am so excited to see it being turned into a series.
this last ep feels like the most wattpad-y story ever ( no hate, i love this series so much but i hate that jay is leaning more and more to keifer, yuri is so much better for her )
Same here i want Jay Jay to be angry with Kiefer so that he want do such thing to her again
i REALLY want jay to end up with yuri, i think they have more chemistry than jay and keifer. obviously, keifer likes jay but he still wants to hurt her in order to hurt her cousin. yuri hasn't done anything to intentionally hurt her, his feelings have only been portrayed positively / with no ulterior motives. i'm sure she won't end up with yuri, i haven't read the story so i have no idea what happens, but i still have a bit of hope that things work out between them. and if they don't end up together, i hope jay just stays single (as she's said she doesn't want a relationship right now) and doesn't end up falling any deeper for keifer's dirty tricks.
Starting ep5 and omg THIS IS SO ENTERTAINING. I love the plot hahaha Why oh WHY did i start this when its still…
okay same, i wish i didn't start it so quickly bc i really just want to binge the whole series at once and i'm so impatient but i kept seeing stuff on insta about the series and i caved
just as we get rid of netflix, a series i've been waiting (dying) for is premiering there. i try so hard to stream on original streaming venues to ensure the correct people are being paid for their work but i don't know what i'm going to do with this one. i'm seeing it for sure but ain't no way i'm paying over $20 a month to get netflix again.
Imagine I think Shoma was rhe best of all 4 of them
i don't think he was given enough lines, tbh. i really don't think he's a bad actor but in this, i just didn't see him as the right fit for the role. maybe if he had more lines, i'd think differently but arashi didn't even seem like he was a main character for me... he didn't stand out as much as i was expecting. i still think the series fell in line with typical japanese bl, though, which isn't a bad thing. some of my absolute favorite bls are japanese. i just hope shoma gets more roles so we can see more of his talent.
i really tried not to compare it to the original but even so, i feel like... the chemistry just wasn't chemistrying. i love nagumo shoma, i really do... but he just wasn't a great fit for this series. i've seen him in other roles so i know he's not a bad actor but his acting was just so bad in this, it was like he was intentionally trying to make arashi the most boring man in the world. there was no chemistry between the main couples, maybe because there wasn't enough development shown... idk. i had a hard time giving this series more than 3 stars.
