While I don't completely disagree with the things you said I think the reason for this is the fact that LYY has trouble expressing himself with words (which we've seen throughout the show) and so he goes above and beyond with his action to get his feelings across (like everything he does for YG), and he is trying to convey his apology to his master through actions (and in episode 18 we can kinda see that the master understands the way LYY does things, and so he is waiting, instead of going to LYY). And in the outro of the episodes we can see the way he chose to apologize

I think both LL and LYY were wild when young.
From what I remember Wu Wei was bullied and LYY fought with the bullies and got some injuries, and then LL found out about it, picked up a brick and went to beat up the bullies as well. While she was beating them up with the brick, MXD tried to stop her but she also hit him because she though he was one of the bullies.

But what you said about her getting the scar protecting MXD is also true. I think there were 2 separate incidents between MXD and LL, one where she hit him because of a misunderstanding, and one where she protected him and got the scar.

I wouldn't call him ungrateful. He knows he was wrong, and him not talking with his master was a mixture of pride, guilt and being afraid, not to mention he was also hurt with everything that happen when his master told him to leave. He was still a 15 year old kid when everything happened.

Up until he met YG, he didn't have enough reasons to get over everything, but now that he does he's working on it and planning to apologize to his master with the Chinese open competition (the master even figured it out that's why he came back now).

But other than that I agree, while YG's mother didn't have to be so mean, she also doesn't have any reason not to, since she does not know him well enough to know he's changed.
