The drama is not what I expected it to be as well. I would have preferred if they never liked each other as kids but just fell in love as adults. I have been secretly pining over you for years plot is a little exhausting and repetitive.

Sometimes I feel like I’m watching a completely different show. Everyone seems to be upset that the FL is not chasing the ML enough. Are you people okay? You do realize that based on the script the man literally confessed only 24 hours ago??? Even the ML understands that she just literally got out of a serious relationship and needs time to evaluate how she feels. Mind you a few episodes ago she stated that she still has feelings for her ex and the ML is aware of that when he confessed. Would it not be insane plot wise if she just turned around and started to chase the ML?

I never stated that he was abusive I said that specific behavior is toxic and annoying. The key component of setting boundaries is consistency. One moment he wants space the next moment he shows up to hang out with her. That would make any person confused. As for their bickering relationship I never said there was anyone wrong with that. I understand it’s just banter they have been doing their whole life. Regarding the role reversal I would feel exactly the same way if it was her doing throwing temper tantrums because she couldn’t tell her friend she liked him. Regardless, my point stands that the ML could have behaved better.

in this particular case she did go back to her parents house several times but they never opened the door for her. They believed her husband over their own daughter simply because they did not want a the stigma of a divorced daughter. Well, now they have a dead daughter.

The first half was about one girl and I think now that we have some idea of what happened to her the next 6 episodes will go through what led up to her death and finally connect both girls together.

Can you imagine being lectured about income inequality by a rapist? One thing about kdramas is that in every crime show the evil person tells the lead character it’s your fault that I did xyz. You were good at everything and your parents bought you new shoes therefore I decided to murder and rape. I’m sorry but we are gonna have to burn down this entire village with those parents and rapist in it.

The man is extremely inconsistent and at no point did he try to establish a boundary or communicate in a healthy way. She invites him to stuff and he says no I won’t come only for him to show up later. How is she suppose to know he can’t be around her if at the end of the day he still comes around? Instead he decides to scream at her because he is too scared to share how he feels. Even when he was afraid she got hurt instead of communicating that he yelled at her instead. That behavior is toxic and he is not entitled to love. 100 percent if the actor was unattractive y’all would be singing a different tune.

I enjoyed the first couple of episodes but I’m not loving the ML’s personality change in the last couple of episodes. Very angry and hostile towards the FL. Personally, I don’t find that behavior to be attractive. If you need space sit your friend down and make something up if you have to. He won’t communicate his feelings at all and just expects the FL to pick up on everything. He has 30 minutes to wrap this behavior up.

He is being incredibly rude and dismissive to the FL. That is not a way to ensure that your friendship survives. Punishing her because he is not brave enough to take a risk is nothing short of cowardly. If a man treated me like that in real life I would drop him as a friend. Y’all are only aging this because you find the actor attractive. If they had a non-attractive character doing this y’all would have said he was abusive.

There are thousands of dramas with older men paired with younger women and none of you complain like this. The moment an older women is paired with a younger actor y’all start your disgusting ageist complaints. They literally have decent chemistry and if you watched her in other roles she’s always had a younger looking face. I don’t know why this app has so many incels complaining about simps and older women all the time. If the drama doesn’t meet your incel qualifications just drop it.

I really hate the I’m gonna be irrational and angry at the person I like trope because I’m too scared to tell them how I really feel. He needs to grow a pair and tell her how he feels and let the chips fall where they may. some of y’all saying she needs to leave him alone are crazy. If your childhood friend starts being hostile towards you for no reason you would want to know why. I hope I don’t see that behavior in the next couple of episodes.

oh wow so in the book both her parents are actively involved in her death/cover up? That’s wild. If the parents know in the drama why did those two dads rush the twin out of the restaurant like that? I guess we will find out soon.

I hope y’all don’t start the age gap nonsense again once the SML shows up. Your hearts might break when you notice that actor is 22. Remember ladies and gentlemen, it’s not real. It’s called acting and you can play older characters even if you look younger.

That’s ridiculous cause the writer made it clear that the FL was not the best mother nor the best wife. They legit show that she’s a flawed character. They show us the pictures next to her daughters beds that don’t include her for the audience to see that she is rarely at home with her family. Even the FL acknowledged that on multiple occasions. It showed that the husband was a great father and was the main caretaker of their daughter. In the earlier stage it showed that their dynamic worked for both of them but at some point the husband started to resent his wife. The FL wasn’t even gonna divorce her husband when she found out he was cheating and told the other lawyer that her husband legit raised their daughter. Even this recent episode showed how much he loved his daughter and how he knows everything about her unlike the FL who doesn’t even know what types of foods her daughter likes. Instead of simply opting for a divorce he decided to cheat on his wife. That’s the problem with cheating. You have legitimate criticism of your spouse but once you cheat you lose all that credibility.

That’s not what she meant. if you watch the next episode she’s referring to the fact that she feels guilty that her daughter caught her having an affair and she didn’t run after her. That’s the same night she died. They do this trope all the time in dramas where someone says I killed them only for them to say if I hadn’t argued with her she wouldn’t have left the house and died. I don’t believe she participated in the killing nor the cover up based on the info up to episode 8.

I know the whole village is in on it somehow. Do you mean that the victims family is also aware of who killed their daughter? They seem to genuinely think it’s the ML. at least that’s how it’s presented to the audience.

same. if I didn’t watch both I would not have realized for example the school reunion scene was missing in one.

I can’t wait for the next six episodes. I feel so badly for the ML and his family. He was an intelligent boy who was so loving and kind to his friends. They stabbed him in the back and destroyed his entire future. The victims family doesn’t even realize they are hanging out daily with their daughters killers. if they were not such horrible people they would see the suspicious behavior in front of them. Instead they decided to torture the one family that basically supported them single handily and took care of their daughter. I just now realized that the nurse friend’s family bought the ML’s restaurant after they set their son up. I can’t even begin to speak on how corrupt and awful the chief is. He destroyed his best friends entire family without a second thought. I can’t wait to see what truly happened on that night.

Watched up to episode 8 on Hulu and realized that the drama is labeled differently on dramacool and some of the scenes are longer on Hulu. for example todays episode on dramacool is episode 5 but that’s episode 6 on Hulu and it has more scenes.
