Exactly. even he said in one scene do you know how much I make every hour to the FL. He doesn’t have a personal account? makes no sense.

I’m really enjoying the first two episodes. I love both the ML and the FL and enjoy most of their dramas. I just don’t understand how the ML comes from a rich family and he has zero assets. He doesn’t have a home to go to? no savings? no personal car?

I bet you at the end of this the grandma is gonna say you never stood up against me and now that you have I see that you are ready for the CEO position. In Asian dramas there is almost no punishment for parental abuse. Even in the case of a child getting abandoned by their parent and coming back later in the story everyone around them says at the end of the day she’s your mom. Even when the mother in laws are abusive and disgusting the FL goes I understand I would have done the same thing if I was a mom.

Where is green reaper when you need him? One reoccurring theme in kdramas is holding people responsible for crimes they never committed. God forbid you ask a person to hang out and they die on their way to meet you somehow you have to live your life as someone who is personally responsible for their death. I watched a kdrama where the daughter in law was abused by the family because she called her husband when she was in labor and he died on the way. What’s worse is that in kdramas they have redemption arc for characters that don’t even do the work. They tell one sad story and we are suppose to forgive them for all the damage they caused. The grandma violated her son in death by abusing his son and damaging him for life.

How is the rating of a romantic fantasy an insult to a psychological mystery, thriller like mouse? How a person…
It’s not a 9 to YOU but clearly to the majority it is. This drama gave everything it need to give as a romance drama. The main couple had lots of chemistry. The ML was attractive and an idol which people really love. It had bits of comedy and was self depreciating when it needed to be. There was no annoying second leads. They didn’t break up in the last episode like they do in almost all kdramas. They wrapped up the serial killer stuff in the first half of the last episode and the remaining was fluffy and happy. As for the genre based point I brought up I’m not saying that this website is set up that way but that’s just internally how most people rate things. When I’m rating a romantic show I compare it to other romance shows. The chemistry was better in this one compared to the other etc… same with thrillers. The idea that because your favorite show of a completely different genre is lower than this one therefore this show is overrated is just you throwing a childish tantrum. Viewership is subjective and romance shows have an easier audience compared to thrillers, suspense where the audience requires much more. I mean you can go to every show that has a 9 and argue under their post on why Mouse has 8.8 and deserves more.

How is the rating of a romantic fantasy an insult to a psychological mystery, thriller like mouse? How a person would rate a thriller is the not the same as how a person would rate a romantic tv series. When someone is rating mouse they are comparing it to other stories similar to it. They are comparing it to flowers of evil etc.. This show getting a 9 doesn’t mean it’s a better show than mouse it’s simply saying it’s a 9 in its specific genre. When people are watching romance they are looking for chemistry, and cuteness, vibes etc.. Which this show had. It’s easier for romance shows to pull in their audience. While series like mouse really need to be done well and people observe the storyline more. Once you understand that you won’t be so bothered by the ratings.

I think him giving her a glass of water she didn’t even accept is the last thing that will have a lasting effect…
I think if he was actively pursuing her in every episode I would understand your concern but I do think you are slightly exaggerating. They have never interacted in any capacity to build trust between each other nor has he been overtly affectionate with her outside him offering her a cup of water. if anything she’s actually using him as a way to punish her “friend” and keep her in check. The only time she interacts with him is when she sees the other girl talking to him.

Am I the only one uncomfortable with him hitting on the student council pres to get it? I know he is supposed…
I think him giving her a glass of water she didn’t even accept is the last thing that will have a lasting effect on her considering she’s already being abused and medicated by her mother. She’s literally living at home with a monster.

There’s only a 4 years age gap between them right? Sometimes the dialogue makes it seem like she’s 10 plus years older than him.

People are talking like only the Crown Prince is at fault. Both shut their doors. It's a game of who would open…
Exactly. None of us are expecting monogamy from the royal family as we understand the structure of marriages and concubines during this time. It’s the way he went about it and the lack of respect he has for the crown princess. When she came looking for him regarding her mother and he already left to console the other woman my heart broke for her.

I'm so mad about his effing 'statistics' because...it's biased! A couple of people already told him it's biased…
Yea, the professor made that clear already did you miss the whole episode where he literally has to start from scratch and ultimately concluded that she was in fact the common denominator? What did you think he was doing in this episode when he collected data from all the men associated with her?

I can completely understand him feeling demoralized in that situation and he honestly didn’t even have to sleep with her again. However he is the crown prince and he has responsibilities. The fact that he has the ability to even leave the palace and get some fresh air shows how privileged he is compared to her. She can’t get pregnant, they already shoved a new concubine down her throat and on top of that the prince doesn’t show up for his duties. Even after reading the story out of simple respect he didn’t check in with her. When she couldn’t even be with her mother on her deathbed he has the ability to go and check on the woman he met 15 minutes ago.

I really hope that the crowned princess can get the divorce. The prince can leave the palace to sleep around but she couldn’t even leave to see the aunt her bestie when she passed. Now she couldn’t even visit her mom on her death bed. She spent her entire life imprisoned in that palace. May she be able to fly away and get the freedom she so deserves.

The issue is that he went to that woman during their scheduled meeting. He knew that she was already struggling with the fact that she’s not pregnant. He could have went to other woman at anytime but he decided to embarrass the princess by leaving her on the night where all eyes are on her. He already had a concubine and she obviously didn’t even mind that. This is the perfect solution for her to get out of that palace. I don’t think she would have cared if he took that girl as a concubine. it’s just the way he decided to go about it.

Are you okay? you do realize that this is a historical drama right? The women during this period didn’t have choices. They both got married as children and even their sex life is scheduled and choreographed. The men during this time could sleep with anyone they wanted and especially the king or would be king. All woman are considered the kings women. He could essentially grab any lady from off the street to serve him. Technically it’s not cheating since the royals are permitted to do so. The issue is that he didn’t follow the procedures and slept with a woman during the scheduled time he was suppose to sleep with the princess. Bridgeton and outlander are not historically accurate they are just romantic period pieces. This drama talks about the struggles women face during that time. Mind you the other prince raped a woman and legit got away with. Meanwhile her aunt was literally murdered by her in laws. How did you manage to watch all those episodes and somehow still looking for fairytales romance is beyond me.

i didn't watch the original cdrama but i heard that it had some kind of love triangle which is something i absolutely…
the cdrama has no love triangle at all. The brother was just desperate to legally be tied to his family and share their last name. He has a stupid friend that basically tells him he can do that by marrying the FL. There’s no feelings and it legit gets wrapped up in one episode as they both essentially find it gross and see each other as siblings. if you loved this drama, you will like this one even better as you get attached to the characters and love them even more.

The most annoying thing kdrama writers do is constantly have the FL’s jump to conclusions with little to no information. In love to hate you the FL immediately concluded that the ML was a pedo who dates underaged girls. They see a tattoo and start picturing a whole story of the ML being part of a gang. I can understand old people doing that but as a young person living in the modern world no way you still believe everyone with a tattoo is a gang member. As an educator the least you can do is gather more information and observe quietly before making accusations. You can write strong female characters without constantly having them be loud, drunk, and judgmental.

If the pace of the story is not for you why not just drop the show? it’s clear from episode 1 that this would be a slow moving story that focuses more on emotion. That might not be your style. personally I found episode 3 to be very emotional. I can’t wait to see the leads interact.

Jang Won is so bland to me I really hope the FL doesn’t end up with him. I thought he was gonna tell his dad to act when it come to the rapist prince but instead he told his dad to get the books banned essentially leading to everyone getttong tortured. meanwhile the ML is literally a man of action. I know he differs with the FL on the concept of love but he literally is a man with a plan. I like that.

the low ratings have been happening for a while now. it usually changes and updates within the coming week to have a more accurate rating. I think it might be some internal issues with the app. Either way I hope that people understand that there are some shows where you are not intended to think too hard. it’s a funny light show. The first episode was cute let’s see how it goes.
