I’m on eps.3 and honestly the ML is insufferable. Growing up with all that wealth has him living in a completely different reality. Fake confessing in public to the FL without understand the consequences it would lead for her. Trying to cancel the wedding after the gifts were already sent and not understanding how this would impact the FL. Coming late to the wedding when his family is trying to avoid him marrying into the royal family which will be hell on earth for them. Asking for a divorce so causally again not even thinking about how this impacts her in society. He seems like an intelligent man I’m not understanding why it’s not clicking to him how big the threat the royal family is to him and his family. I can’t wait for his character to grow cause he is really frustrating at this point.

yea romance between the central characters but the best friends don’t also have to be secretly in love with the ML/FL as well. it’s okay to have them just be best friends unless it’s a best friends to lovers drama.

somebody introduce platonic relationships to Korea immediately. Does every man and woman have to fall in love or secretly pine away for each? Can they just genuinely be friends?

I’m on eps.14 and I’m wondering if I should keep going or save myself the time and energy since I’ve seen some spoilers regarding the ending. I don’t mind sad endings that make sense but I hate meaningless deaths. Please tell me if I should go on or stop now! thanks.

You can always tell from the language they use. SIMP, impatient loser, virgin, questions about manhood, thinking about the FL’s sex life.

I see the incels have descended into the comment section. they are always so triggered by compassionate, kind men. There are plenty of dramas with aggressive arm grabbing men you can watch. Don’t waste your time with this one.

Why are you so obsessed with the ML’s sex life? Just because that’s all you might think about doesn’t mean it applies to everyone else. As for the ML we don’t even know what his life looked like the past 8 years. Who knows if he had non-serious relationship with other women we don’t know about. its not central to the plot. It’s only obvious that he has not been in another serious relationship since the breakup. Again, why does someone simply deciding they are not ready for another relationship make them a SIMP?? if he started sleeping with other women while in love with someone else people would be saying that he is a terrible person for leading those women on. There are plenty of dramas where the woman doesn’t date at all while she waits for the man she’s loves. You do realize they needed to give her an Ex-boyfriend for the plot with her intern to make sense. You can tell that it was a very surface relationship. What bothers you is that a man still loves a woman even after a breakup and doesn’t immediately start sleeping around. That’s why you brought up her sex life. I would have liked the drama exactly the same if the roles were reversed. Which is pretty much real life. Most men are not as good as the the men in dramas. They are the ideal men that women would love as opposed to sex obsessed men like you that women are unfortunately stuck with.

Impotent loser? who? where? If you asked any sane woman if they would date the ML every one of them would say yes please. You guys really hate seeing a kind, loving man that doesn’t mistreat his best friend of over 30 years because they broke up when they were basically kids figuring out their life. If he was revengeful you would probably call it manly huh? I think the problem is your definition of manhood. There a million shows of women that are pinning over their love and waiting for years and no one criticizes them. You have only a few dramas where a man is deeply in love and is willing to be patient for the person he loves and the comments are all calling him simp.

Something, I’ve always struggled to understand is when the mistresses harbor so much hatred towards the wife. What did that women do to you? Even if she wants him to leave and be with her the power to get divorced is in his hands. The way she’s so hateful to the FL since episode 1 you would think she stole her husband. The fact that you can sleep with someone’s husband and expect to run off into the sunset with zero consequences is ridiculous. As for the drug addict guy I don’t understand his problem. If the orchestra company goes down he is out of a job thus no way to support his extracurricular activities. Why is he so hellbent on getting that information out to the public.

The grandfather is making zero moves. I thought he was gonnna be bad ass and protect his grandson even if it meant him being evil but all he does every episode is frown. Meanwhile the evil step-mom is plotting to kill his grandson yet he allows her to sleep in the same household.

a lot of the romance depicted in kdramas are just unhealthy obsessions. You can see it in the way that when things don’t go their way they immediately start trying to destroy that persons life. If you sincerely like someone even if it’s one sided you don’t want the best for them.

I really would love for Korean writers to let go of the obsessed lover trope. Do we really need that obsessed SFL? Somebody let them know that it’s okay to have platonic relationships. Imagine, how interesting the SFL would have been if she was a talented BFF that simply cared about the ML? Same for the SML. He could have seen her simply as family and just been there to protect her. Just unnecessary characters that are meant to emotionally drain you. The trailer for tommorow id another example of how annoying the SFL is.

I have to say it was okay at best. Howver, it has no heart. the relationship between the characters are surface at best. The humor is missing. We didn’t get to see the relationship built between Genkai and Yusuke. She passed her powers to him and it was missing that major struggle he had in the cave. The competition to become Genkai’s student. if they were not gonna give us a nice plot like one piece they should not have bothered tbh. it was just too rushed.

I have to say that I disagree with some people saying that the ML was an unreliable partner. Both of them were working towards their dream. The ML worked just as hard as the FL. He even worked part time jobs to save for their upcoming trip. The problem is the FL is one of those bad vibe people. The type of people who allow their struggles and obstacles to bleed into every part of their life. Things didn’t go her way so she would be depressed & shit on the ML’s hopes and dreams. She never effectively communicated with the ML. She would just yell at him when something annoyed her. While the ML was the type that didn’t allow his struggles to impact his everyday life. He woke up with a smile ready to tackle his day. He actually did an excellent job of commminicating his hopes and desires with her & was vocal about how her words diminished his dream. In my opinion he deserves better.

The look the ML’s father gave to the FL’s mother solidified my initial thought the the ML’s mother died probably saving the FL’s mother. He might also resent her for coming back without her best friend. Something about the way she interacts with the ML gives me the vibe that she feels some sort of survivor guilt or that she’s feels she’s to blame somehow. You know in Korean dramas they love to take responsibility for every accident on earth even if their only fault was asking the person to meet up before they died. What’s kills me in kdramas is the level of alcohol these people drink. I’m literally concerned. I’m very close to calling for some type of intervention. It’s such a turn off to see them so intoxicated day after day.

I think the grandfather just didn’t want another obstacle for the ML. As we saw at the ending the evil stepmother saw that he actually cared about the FL and is now actively using her as a weapon against the ML. The grandfather know for sure a lot about the FL.

You start a drama thinking it’s gonna be a light fluffy and cute and out of no where it turns into a murder mystery. let’s see where it goes.

That’s interesting. You make a good point. I don’t remember if there was a big deal when Jeff Bezos cheated on his wife and married his mistress. I know she got one of the biggest divorce settlements ever but I don’t know if the average person cared. I feel like in the west we expect that celebrities and CEO’s (wealthy people in general) to have no morals. We expect them to divorce, cheat on each other and all kinds of illicit behavior.

I watched eps 1-6. These types of dramas really show you how useless police are. So many of the people who ended up being killed reported being stalked and the police didn’t even look into it after the fact. It’s so difficult to root for the taxi driver because of his stupidity and zero survival skills. The man got so many people killed along the way because he continued to make dumb decisions. I hate when kdramas have that character that is so nice that everyone walks all over and scams. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as well cause his daughter is another nice stupid girl. Why would you meet up with a serial killer so that you can go with him to turn himself in. She got her friend murdered as well. The only intelligent person in this drama is the mother whose son was killed.

I’m really not understanding the family relations. In one of the flash backs when the ML was a child it looked like their was a memorial for both his parents. Also it seems like the stepmom used the ML’s mothers sickness to kick her out of the company. Was she the fathers mistress? It would be nice if the drama cleared up the family tree. I foresee that employee that’s in love with the ML to stir up some trouble and possibly align with the Stepmom. I love how he created boundaries with her and never entertained her crush. In kdramas the media and the public seem to care a lot about who the CEO and their families date or marry. I wonder if that’s true in real life. Are they treated like celebrities? In America no one really cares who CEO’s date or marry. Elon Musk apparently has multiple baby mamas and no one blinks twice.
