Title Bloody Flower Spoiler
I thought the first two episodes were interesting. I did struggle to connect with the FL. I would have loved to get more insight on why she wanted to take on this case. Is it for justice or is it to build her career? I don’t mind a ruthless defense attorney as long as I can understand their methods. I don’t understand why she went in so aggressive when she has a culprit that wants to talk. You don’t have to buy into what they’re saying but surely getting an insight to their motives would help you build your case? She was willing to waste police resources looking for the bodies when the ML was willing to provide that information with one proper sit down. The FBI was able to build their behavior science unit just by sitting down and listening to some of the most disgusting people on earth. I don’t understand why the ML didn’t let his lawyer know that he told the prosecutor that the last victim shouldn’t seek medical attention from other doctors. I hate when people don’t speak to their lawyers and involve themselves in the case.

No you actually secretly enjoy Korean romance dramas but have to put on this masculine front to help you sleep better at night. Who takes time out of their life to watch romantic tv shows just so they can complain to the world about them especially when there so many other genres that would suit their fragile masculinity. It’s okay babe I see you. There’s a few more romance dramas dropping soon so I know you are excited.

I agree with everything except the last part. That's not just a Korean thing. You can find the same plot in any…
not in the way it does with Asian dramas. You have entire plot lines were a person is called a murder and when the story is cleared up it’s because the person asked to meet up and their friend/family member dies before they reach them. I watched a kdrama where a mother was abusing her daughter in law cause she called her husband while she was in labor and he died on the way. It’s just more on the extreme side in Korea. I’ve not ever seen stories depicted to this extreme in other countries.

cheating is a unfortunately a harsh part of life and it’s not even central to the main plot. Just a side plot…
Nobody says you need to root for her. The story clearly shows she’s a complicated character. You are suppose to root for them only in the context of how they help victims. You don’t have to support their personal stories. What she did was wrong with the cheating as well as the tampering of evidence which she had to do in order to cover up said cheating. Even getting involved with someone so close to her case was unethical. However, if humans weren’t so flawed we would never have anything to watch.

cheating is a unfortunately a harsh part of life and it’s not even central to the main plot. Just a side plot…
I think you are confusing two separate things. The initial post was referring to the depiction of cheating in the first episode. as I stated in my post cheating is unfortunately a part of this life. Just because everyone isn’t cheating doesn’t mean it didn’t happen on the regular. Hence a harsh part of life. You hope that the person you love will ways remain loyal to you but unfortunately it’s not always the case. It is a gamble you take when you put your heart on the line. The FL in this show allowed her former feelings to negatively impact her decision making. Her friends were disappointed in her and she’s facing consequences as her bad decision has now forced her to tamper with evidence. How was it normalized at no point in the plot did it condone her activity? Not to mention her friends were disappointed in her & she will eventually have to face the consequences of her actions as the plot develops. The cheating is not even the main plot it’s only a subplot to move the story and connect the characters hence why there isn’t much focus on her. you are turning this into a gender war and expecting too much when there’s only been two episodes. At least wait until the story finishes before you start the gender clashes.

You have to realize that characters serve the plot. The SML is there to bring up the fire so we can get the full story. You know damn well that along the way the SML will have that conversation with the ML and they will resolve their conflict. It’s just Korean drama formula and characters can’t ignore each other in real life because they serve as plot devices. Hearing sides will clear up and discrepancies and misunderstandings between the characters so it has nothing to do with respect. Also the SML just shows up in front of her house and starts talking. Not much she can say or do when she has no idea about anything that occurred in the past.

cheating is a unfortunately a harsh part of life and it’s not even central to the main plot. Just a side plot they are using to sort of complicate the death of the reporter. Her husband will eventually find out.

Is SML really a lawyer or has a fake law degree lol. When someone questions him...dude instead of putting fact…
did you watch the ending? She said she didn’t even bother asking anything or question what he said because she has ultimate trust in the ML. She didn’t even ask him to clarify what happened and allowed him to steer the conversation. She clearly loves and supports him. pls we know based on her entire story that she’s not a super confrontational person.

Listen I didn’t like the SML in the beginning but now I really don’t like him. Imagine you have a best friend that is getting brutally abused by their father to the point that they tell you that one day they fear that their father will kill them. That same best friend is now tasked with also keeping his nephew safe. There is some sort of fire that happens and you really don’t know the details. pls he disappeared with the money you planned on giving him. Instead of being concerned about your friend and his nephew and wondering what happened and wishing that they remain safe you decide to villainize said friend and speak badly about him. On top of that you are a whole lawyer and you accuse your friend of murder with zero evidence. You didn’t even give him the benefit of the doubt to ask him what happened. When the ML said he killed his dad it’s gonna be the typical story where he really didn’t kill him but he thinks it’s his fault it happened. Koreans love to take ownership of deaths that are not their faults all the time.

Lol the comment being how do people watch this types of shows with a straight face yet here you are under every romance story complaining about the same thing and always obsessing over the sexual status of the characters. why don’t you just stop watching Korean romance dramas since it doesn’t appeal to your incel mindset????

That's what he was there for in the first place.
in the earlier episodes he stated that he would not reveal her location and respected her right to get away. Now he reveals her personal life with cloudy information about the ML and provides her location. The least he could have done was give the FL a heads up. very useless character all around.

they never revealed the dad. We don’t know who he is.
I think we probably will not get any insight into the dad. The mom was introduced cause she’s the sister of the ML.

I’m sorry but the SML reporting her personal life to her parents and giving up her location irritated the hell out of me. Considering what she endured and how she’s finally healing he had no right to interject himself in her life in that way. Also the audacity of the mom to talk about I’m gonna go drag her back and how dare she get involved with another parent when she never did so to begin with. I was so happy to see the FL and ML finally be happy and now the dark cloud is on its way 😤

It’s not understandable in my opinion because it was an accident. Not to mention it’s not like he just moved on. It something that has psychologically impacted him so much so that he can’t even touch a person’s hand. Not to mention if she loved his bother in any capacity no chance would he want his brother to live a torturous life. so she’s also dishonoring her husbands loved ones by emotionally torturing his family. She’s also harming her own daughter by trying to force her to hate the only father figure she has. She’s mentally unwell and I don’t understand her at all. That’s an interesting therapy tbh and would make more sense as to why she’s behaving the way she is.

He didnt agree to run the company he agreed to work there in exchange for his mother getting a divorce. Thats why she was able to create a team of “losers” to undermine him o he doesn’t move up the ranks. But he was rarely showing up to work cause he had no true ambitions to work in said company. If the sister behaved normally she could have been eventually running things. I think the ending was fine to me. it has a million tropes of course but I’m used to kdramas having mediocre endings. Especially on Netflix. If you don’t go in with high expectations the drama will be a fun watch.

I wish that the trope with the secretly in love best friend could be wiped from this earth. As soon as they see the ML/FL moving on they decide it’s time to share how they really feel. why can’t the friend group just stay friends????? The storyline with the sister in law makes no sense. She’s severally mentally unwell and should get therapy asap. So she doesn’t want him to work? she doesn’t want him to have a child or get married. Why doesn’t she just kill him?

for me personally it was a decent watch. nothing spectacular about it. I was mostly interested in finding out about the murder. the couple was just not doing it for me. They had no chemistry in my opinion. Also I just couldn’t connect with the fan girl aspect cause I personally view it as a mental illness. It’s not normal to be that obsessed with strangers. I can’t get past her being that much of a fan girl and them dating it’s just too weird for me. Nevertheless it’s a mindless watch.
