the FL running around the palace where all her in laws work is killing me. Not to mention the prince talking to the SML like a fellow girlfriend was just too funny.I don’t understand why the SML even wants to help his evil father gain more power knowing how he treats him. I think his chatter does nothing besides being angry and yelling at the FL. Also the FL is suppose to be this secret baddest criminal but they made her kind of weak all of sudden.
the sister in law is proof of why it’s important to deal with grief in a healthy way. She’s betraying her husband by ensuring that the brother he loves remains alone and unhappy. She went as far as manipulating a pregant women into having an abortion. She’s violating the memory of her husband my hiding behind his lost.
Considering that the others interns were over 20 couldn’t she also have been in her mid 20’s? The age hierarchy in Korea is so interesting that a 29 year old would feel like a 25 year old and a 28 year old are kids and not their age mates.
her husband not son, He was his brother so she is his sister in law.yes agree. this was not part of the original…
that’s right. I think I momentarily forgot cause the actor looked so young. If that’s his own brother that died she has even less reasons for trying to guilt him. pls the way his parents acted made it seem like she was on equal par with them and not a daughter in law.
The king seems like a smart man so I don’t understand how he can’t see all the snakes around him. He also got rid of one of the only minister’s that would never betray him and kept all the snakes around him.
Totally understand where you're coming from; I felt a lot of the same way when I watched it (especially about…
thank you for the explanation and for including the original parts in the book. Wow the show really did a disservice by changing so much that would have added more layers to why the ML made the decisions he did. If he had lost his leg in the show I would have been able to digest why he made such a drastic decision to leave her. I just expected a little more anger from the FL. Also the ML built her dream cafe but had no plans to be with her in the future didn’t make sense at all. That’s why I think it would have made more sense for him to be the one trying to win her back instead of having the FL so all the emotional work. Was that the same in the book?
I enjoyed the first episode though it kind of felt like alcohol propaganda when she was making that speech. The level of drinking in kdramas always made me uncomfortable cause it’s comes off like addiction to me. So the aunt wants him to never enjoy life cause her son died? one interesting thing about kdramas is that they always process death in such an unhealthy ways.
I enjoyed this drama up until the second half, when they reunited in China. It felt like the FL was still carrying the entire relationship on her back. I expected the second half to be a redemption arc for the ML, one where he would finally chase after her, but instead, the emotional labor still fell entirely on the FL. She was the one who went to the café, the one who returned to Thailand to uncover the truth, and the one who met with the doctor. It became painfully clear that she loved him far more than he loved her. He essentially ghosted her, forced everyone around him to lie on his behalf, and even took her dog. The moment I completely checked out on him was when he told her that the moon and the sun couldn’t shine at the same time. She should have walked away the instant he said that. What I wanted to see was the ML groveling, proving that he would never again make unilateral decisions for her or exclude her from the truth. Instead, in my opinion, he showed no real character growth at all. I genuinely don’t understand how the FL could feel safe with someone who hides things, disappears without explanation, and controls the narrative around their relationship. Ultimately, I felt the FL deserved better
would it even matter considering she’s over a thousand years old and not even human?
Again you are using real world ethics on a drama about non human. One could argue that it’s problematic for you to be waiting for him to be out of high school just so he can date a thousand year old non human women. if she becomes human will they not be the same age?

yea but again physically they are the same age but she’s not even human so it doesn’t matter. it’s not like Goblin where she looked 15 and the the male actor looked 45.
It’s only the first episode and y’all are already annoying. this place use to be a fun place where people would discuss events taking place in the show but now it’s just a bunch of bots and haters. The actress has a specific type of tone. like she can’t help it. if it doesn’t work for you just avoid her dramas and call it a day.
Another drama with a beautiful green flag ML. I love these types of dramas tbh. Some people might find this genre of green flag slow burn shows to be slow or boring but for me I love a palate cleanser where I’m not stressed or on the edge of my seat. I just want to turn my brain off.
it’s a good light watch that you don’t need to emotionally invest in. The teenage girl is mad annoying to me but not gonna lie. I hope we see a character growth soon. I also never understand why they make the FL’s cruel out of no where. It’s okay to politely decline especially to someone that saved your life.
