To think Liu Yuning never went to a professional acting school but still always manage to pull off every character he acts spectacularly and never feel the same. All his characters feel different from each other. When I watch his drama's I cant seem to connect him with himself, his live stream personality, or his other characters. Even the way he dubs feels unique for every character. Its such an interesting feeling and I truly truly truly hope he gets more opportunities acting quality scripts.

i don't think he's morally apathetic or uncaring. he has his own beliefs and being someone from similar or perhaps more tragic background than her, he knows more than anyone that no one will help you but yourself in this situation and show that you're not gonna get sympathize just because unfortunate things happen to you. He showing her reality and that's not "screwing her over just cuz he's rich and powerful now". He's not a saint that will pass out umbrellas cuz he was rained on before. But instead he shows u that u need to make your own umbrella.
If he was apathetic or uncaring as u say, he can just straight up just toss her to sea. dont even need to waste time and space locking her up and handing her to authorities. on the contrary he even lessen the time for the punishment that trespasser's normally get. Is she really any use to him? he probably knows more about the red pearl than she does. she's literally just a pearl fisher slave to his knowledge so far (and daughter of someone that served his clan). but he still lets her stay and looks out for her character growth.

huh did u even watch the drama right? how's he screwing her over? his interaction with her are logical. he doesnt owe her anything. she sneaked onto his ship, tries to kill his target, and tries to steal his loot. all he does is tell her to do some labor to work her way up while he gives her a safe environment to stay in. That no different from paying rent. what u think he should give her a vip room and kindly send her to her destination?

I like the dynamics of FL and ML. They just seem very logical, like in typical dramas, you'd probably get a ML like the 2nd ML here, helps FL with all her troubles, be her back up for a bunch of things and clear her obstacles. Like that's probably sweet if you're looking to watch that type of story but that doesn't help the FL to become truly "independent" . But with YZJ he doesn't take credit away from DW's growth if anyone gets what I mean? He doesn't just give her the fruit and help her out just cuz she's a pitiful girl that just lost her mother, but gives her a goal to works towards (3mil for the red pearl )and she has to think of ways to achieve that goal herself. It's like he opens a challenge door path and she enters them to pass them herself. But also it seems like he's looking out for her by making her work hard so she can fit in his crew easier and holding on to the red pearl cuz she has no power to protect it right now.

Love the pacing. The plot and character relationships between everyone is being well built. And looooooooove LYNs voice acting and facial expressions❤️❤️❤️ .
