they think they invented everything. there's 100s of Chinese web-novels with the same type of scenario it's pretty much a trope. that's why they labeled this part as "classic moment in the original novel" cuz its so common

well 1, a lot of dramas are from the female lead's POV and billing's are usually based on that rather than popularity. 2, he is still quite new in the acting industry with only 1 modern male lead and 1 costume male lead drama that's aired. 3, he has no company behind him so good drama resources with male lead pov don't usually fall on him as competition is very high. and he doesn't seem interested in choosing any script just because he's first billing or whatever. he has to like the script and production team/value.

Yes, i feel like he is such an extraordinary existence in this industry. like he's really walking his own path different from all the celebs I've seen. It's a miracle how he manage to turn himself into a huge traffic star while being independent freelancer pretty much. No excessive clickbait marketing and all through self promoting with his skills in singing/acting/livestreams. And he doesn't lose his head from the fame he has and continues to stay humble throughout these years. i genuinely hope the c-ent community can be kinder to him and stop making up rumors to invalidate his hard work.
I've come to love him even more after watching The Truth 2, not only is he a very humorous and smart individual, he is also very considerate. He always make sure that everyone gets to participate. Even though he is an introvert himself, he's willing to step out of his comfort zone to hype up his fellow introvert pals. He never tries to steal the spotlight and makes sure the whole team shines. Even tho he's a scaredy cat he's always the first to start comforting the girls when it goes dark. He's very attentive to detail and always making sure the other don't accidently get hurt like when reba's hair was near the burning incense and when baiyu was playing with the hopping stick. He's also very kind telling zhang linghe his singing doesn't sound like a cow and encourages him to sing more. He always responds to others and make sure their words don't fall to the ground. I also feel like he doesn't want to bring trouble to anyone like I think you can tell he doesn't want to be shipped with reba becuz in this industry shipping always lead to unnecessary rumors that aren't too good for the female side (like reba who's had a history of getting very badly slandered cuz of a ship). He keeps the sibling line between them to the very end even tho their characters are no longer siblings (cuz honestly without that sibling line shield their chemistry is kind of off the chart...) and all the gentleman hand around her (like holding her wrist with just 2 fingers/holding her cloths/bag strap hahaha) like unless it's dark and he's scared out of his mind he keeps his boundaries. People always say there's no pure friendship between men and women but from all the shows and dramas I've seen him in, I think he really interacts with females like they are just friends and no shippy awkwardness between them (even tho he looks like a good match with them all cuz of that body size difference *chefs kiss*) like they became besties. As a woman, i think someone like him around me would make me feel really safe. He's a huuuuge greenflag and just oozing charisma 🥰🥰
hope there really is season 3 and the same cast. Their chemistry is great. hopefully we get a better format where they can all actually work as a team to solve mysteries and not have to be suspicious of each other lol. the teamwork when everyone's on the same side in the last chapter is so much more fun. you can see they've definitely got that team spirit.
