The last 3 episodes The FL writes a novel or a biography about her story. The publisher tells her it’s too gloomy and won’t do well in the market. In the next scene, she throws her novel into the air, gets hit by a car 😬. The ML, who is also a writer, finds the novel, reads it, and loves it. He tries to change some parts to fit the market, but it still keeps the soul of the original story.
While the FL is in a coma, the ML reads the novel to her, then rewinds and rewrites her story into a happier one 😄 so she can wake up from her coma. And it actually works!
So yes, what we saw in the drama was all the ML’s directed story lol 🤯 Also, it’s a clever way to work around the restriction on time travel, which is forbidden in Chinese dramas.
