Like AOL RunYu wanted to die but instead he got his dream to become an emperor and he is in misery. Yes he doing okay ady keeping balance but the ending all he is doing is just living and nothing else. I find that more miserable. As his motif he want love more than power but he cant let go of power so when the thing he really want is gone then everything just become a misery.
That said its China and Chinese community. In Chinese community Family always come first be it bad or good plus I believe what You Qin and Ye Tan did was right, you don't owe them anything so he walked away.

This show did that to us in term of her dad. he did what he think was right living YeTan 18 years of desolation, no education, no food like what now you cant even feed ur child right just to "protect" one person and a kid no less.
If YQ did not confront her dad about this her trauma will never really resolve, hence why I love how YQ is portrayed here. He wont act rashly in any situation but will treat any unjust if it arise toward YeTan.
LIke that stupid uncle (changing the stars), in heaven slapping that guy. etc

Got to say the only XianXia I am looking forward this year is Till the end of the moon" by Leo Lou and Bai Lu as I love their chemistry in "love is sweet" (I cant even watch LBFND) as really most of the plot are the same and at this point I am just watching bsc of the leads but I do try to always watch first few ep to get a feel of the drama (like if a drama need me to take more than 10EP to get into it I rather give it up).
But this drama I start with "owhh is going to be the same and I dont know the main cast (apart from CXX too as he was in GMP). oh boy i was wrong EP 1 made me interested ady and it just kept getting better and better. Sadly they are not "traffic" lead but man oh man the deserve to be!.

Typing made me realise something the original english name is "love when the star falls" now "The starry love" the drama I am waiting this year is "till the end of the moon" all the sky based name hahaha

Its true thou, nothing much about it everyone has different taste in drama. This drama front few EP if you cant get the comedy of it then everything will be stale, if you don't like those micro expression and smaller thing happening through all the front ep it wont be good.
As for me all the drama weather I like it or not I will watch it but I never like EL, LBFND those really super popular once I tried too as well but I just don't like the acting of it. With this drama I see it... every scene feel so natural and blend so well tgt and how all the subtle thing like touching, hold hand all don't seem forced and not meant to force it down your face like (see they are holding hands).
This drama have a lot of hugs and hand holding which is so comfortable to watch. Plus the comedy aspect of it hits right away for me.
So when you cant get into the drama you can just give your own constructive criticism on why you dislike it etc no harm done haha. No drama or movie will appeal to everyone and don't feel force to see just because they are a lot of good comment

I seen a bit of the spoiler and I just cut it off. Their acting is always wonderful but in the whole series YQ did not bawl his eyes out and its always YT (making me cry too =.=) bsc all those close to her and YQ manage to grieve and be very sad about it without bawling.
SO seeing the scene spoiler scene.... I immediate regret playing it, its so impactful and sad!.
Yetan will prob sacrifice her life just like YQ when he tried to seal up Guixu.
It come full circle from YQ sacrificing his life for the 4 realm (lets be real he manage to do it because knowing YT was going to be able to live in it happily) , so when YQ want to go and fix it again and want to protect YT but after all YT has lost, Man2 and to her sister, I think she wont be able to live even after if YQ sac his life again like after they finally got back together with every debt settled and finally ready for a life.
