Honestly, I don't feel like the leads should be together, I think they would be better off apart and actively working on themselves. The FL carries so much trauma and ML indirectly reminds her of that. Both of them are "stuck" in this relationship, whatever it is, and it's holding them back, yes, being together gave them strength when they were kids but now they look so sad wherever they are in the same room or just remembering their past (it looks like happy memories are blue tinted now). Also, the way they are handling things now is really bad and it needs a major shift for things to go well between them and I'm still not sure if I want that. I just want them to be happy even if it's not together

To me Murim reaction was not overboard, if you think it through he is the one who is gonna get the worst part, he is a cop who just married a cop whose mom is also a cop and his boss, by stealing all that money they just ruin his life, his career is gonna go to trash and his marriage is probably going to end, all because association, yes his mom is definitely going to jail and his grandparents may end up going too but they are the ones who decided steal not he, and now he is an accomplice cause he found out and didn't arrest them right away.
Besides that, you can tell from the beginning that the family dynamics were messed up, Murim and Charim were clearly emotionally neglected by both of their parents and maybe their grandparents, and later their mom really focused on Darim because of her vision impairment, to me they were trying to get free, Charim by moving out and Murim by getting married and moving out
