"Okay so the story’s set in a world of humans and demons. there’s clans/ families to help keep the order. But not all of them are good ofc, and there’s also a demonic force called “eternal night” to deal with.
The female lead (huai zhu) used to stay out of world affairs, but to help a friend, she got herself involved. The male lead (hong ye) leads his own clan too - he’s known to be smart and kind of schemey.
it doesn’t look like they match in ideals, but they working together to try bring balance to the world.
while they try doing that, we get stories of everyone involved in this journey. a mix of friendship, romance, and sad stories with some action too."
