Yeah, it's truly sad. What's even sadder is the China government is using Zhang Ling He to win over the Taiwan…
Please do not apologise. Your grief is real so it's good to be able to talk about your feelings but just please be aware that, there are a lot of deep fake videos floating around and unfortunately there are people out there who would deliberately create harmful contents to manipulate the vulnerable.
True rumours rely on verifiable, concrete details, while false ones rely on vague generalisations. False rumours are often designed to provoke intense emotional responses (panic, outrage, or excitement) to bypass critical thinking. You need to be able to detach yourself from these feelings to assess the claim logically.
Check multiple reliable platforms or official channels to see if the information is corroborated. If a claim is isolated, discernment dictates questioning its validity.
There are still many things you could do in memory of him - support a cause, donate to his favourite charity, plant a tree as a tribute to him, re-watch some of his works or even say a quiet prayer for him. You can even coordinate those with his fans around the world if you are keen. ๐

No I'm sorry I'm not familiar with this actor nor have I caught wind of his untimely death. Is his profile listed on MDL? It appears all male actors going by that name are still alive and well unless I am looking up the wrong person?
If the claims made by his girlfriend were true, then it's extremely distressing and depressing to hear that he was subjected to work/sexual harassment prior to his death.
A similar thing happened to Korean actress Jang Ja Yeon. She committed suicide because she was pressured into providing sexual favours to influential people within and outside the industry but justice was served because her perpetrator was caught and punished.
You have already gone above and beyond to seek redress on YML's behalf so please don't dwell on this matter anymore for your own mental health. Have faith that the truth will prevail, and until then, no stone will be left un-turned.
I'm not across all things about Chinese entertainment so I was curious who the winners were when I saw photos of a couple of familiar faces but then it turns out, they were just a clickbait because none of those artists whose photos were shown here personally won any awards?!
Yeah, it's truly sad. What's even sadder is the China government is using Zhang Ling He to win over the Taiwan…
I truly admire your tenacity. The truth can be hidden but can't be buried forever. If there is a trail, it will be revealed and I hope your efforts will pay off. Either way, even if the results are not what you expected, you will have the peace of mind knowing that you tried.

The circumstances surrounding his death are indeed tragic. While I understand some censors should be in place to discourage negative speculation to help protect his image and his family, I thought it was completely unnecessary, inappropriate and utterly disrespectful, to remove his name from the credit lineup on some of his works. Instead of crushing rumours, doing something so outwardly high profile only aroused more interest and suspicion on the matter.

Oh? I wasn't aware of that....I thought Zhang Ling He became more popular because he was outstanding in Pursuit of Jade. They can attempt to cover up and promote who they want but at best, all this would only serve as noise or distraction because fans will always remember him and cherish his work.
it's called liubo! the wiki page is pretty detailed if you wanna read more about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liubo
Thank you! Apparently, the objective, setup and game play are pretty straight forward, just a pity it got replaced quickly by more popular games and then almost forgotten completely. That's why I'm always so appreciative we get to watch and learn about ancient history, cultural philosophies, traditional aesthetics and ethical values via film and television ๐
For those interested, here is the summary of the rules according to Wikipedia:
Method of play: Two people sit facing each other over a board, and the board is divided into twelve paths, with two ends, and an area called the "water" in the middle. Twelve game pieces are used, which according to the ancient rules are six white and six black. There are also two "fish" pieces, which are placed in the water. The throwing of the dice is done with a jade. The two players take turns to throw the dice and move their pieces. When a piece has been moved to a certain place it is stood up on end, and called an "owl (ๆขor้ฉ) ". Thereupon it can enter the water and eat a fish, which is also called "pulling a fish". Every time a player pulls a fish he gets two tokens, and if he pulls two fish in a row he gets three tokens [for the second fish]. If a player has already pulled two fish but does not win it is called double-pulling a pair of fish. When one player wins six tokens the game is won.
Soz I have a random question! What is the name of the wooden board game played by Xie Yan Fang & Zhou Bing (The Minister of Ceremonies of Chu) in Episode 15 @ 17:57-19:43?
It was a two player strategy game played on a carved board that didn't look like the typical grid board in Chinese Chess/Checkers. Each player took turns to roll the "dice" and the playing pieces consisted of 3-dimensional fishes and rectangular blocks. So cute I can't help but be curious how it's played....
Absolute devastation but I totally get it. Having been together for 14 years I'm sure they would have tried everything possible to salvage their relationship. Sometimes, walking away is better than to stay and keep tormenting one another. Hopefully with time and space, these two can work out their differences and be happier.
I loved Alen Fang and Ling Mei Shi in The Love By Hypnotic - they were impeccably cute together and had such an awesome chemistry there. I wouldn't mind if they are paired up again although I doubt romance would be at the core of this drama.
Uh oh! I have a sweet tooth - I'm not sure how I'm going to stare at the screen for 1.5 hours each episode trying to resist my urges and cravings!
I absolutely love watching food shows and competitions - they inspire maximum creativity in contestants and viewers eager to replicate or improvise the recipes.
While looks and talent are utmost important for an actor, so is popularity, sponsorship and network/connections. Although she has been blacklisted for her recent outbursts, I sincerely hope the enormous support from her fans, the steady ranking and her solid performance in Love's Ambition will open up doors for her with more agencies willing to sign her on again. Zhao Lu Si is one of the most hardworking celebrities and she is now in a good position to make a comeback. I hope an opportunity will come by soon enough.
I do not understand the scene in the last episode when Yu Tian arrived on a motorcycle. Can anyone explain it…
I can't remember which episode it was nor the specific details but Karen was sharing with the girls what she thought would be the perfect wedding scene as she imagined herself riding on a Harley Davidson with her groom. Maybe Yu Tian was finally ready to propose to her?
A strong friendship group that sticks through thick and thin together, very heartwarming. All characters are full of flaws and that is what makes them interesting to watch as they go through highs and lows . The only thing that detracted my enjoyment of this series is the personal narrative at the end of each episode. While the theme song was nice, it was too loud and overshadowed the narration. The narration was meant to recount events and include the author's thoughts, feelings and reflections on a specific experience but somehow I struggled to connect with them because it felt like the actresses were just delivering their lines off a script with limited emotional expressions.
Man and woman can most definitely have a platonic relationship (with a lot of restrain at first hehe)!! I have a really close buddy like Yu Tian in real life and people often mistake him as my bf so I can totally relate to Yi He & Yu Tian being nothing more than just bosom friends. Over the years it has become a habit for us to defend one another blindly and sometimes that can lead to disagreements or arguments with my bf but both men are indispensable and they each acknowledge their existence and importance in my life ๐
There were also hypocritical moments when I turned on these girls, despising how weak and irrational they had become, going back to their selfish ex-boyfriends multiple times or initiate break ups due to insecurities only to realise I was once in the same predicaments too. So now I can finally understand how frustrated my bf, friends and family were at that time when I did the same!
I have always been a sucker for slice-of-life dramas that center around relationships. Most likely you'll enjoy this series if you liked Ode To Joy S1 & S2, Twenty Your Life On S1 & S2 & My Best Friend's Story. I'll rate this 7.5.
Cases to be covered:1. JMS2. Brother Welfare Support3. Sampoong Department Store Collapse4. Jijonpa serial murder…
Thanks for providing us with this list. I thought they would cover the Seoul's Halloween crowd crush incident too. That was truly a national tragedy that affected so many people globally. I still couldn't get over it myself, I can only imagine what it's like for the bereaved families and survivors who felt guilty surviving the incident, when their friends/families perished. It's so true - while survivors can live to tell the tale for others to learn from them, they themselves still have a long journey ahead to overcome the trauma. ๐ญ
There's so much to love about this show: 1. The duo judges - I love their insight, interactions and their bickering over food comments. 2. The contestants - such a pleasant mix bag of talented chefs who really bring their A-game to the competition so it was truly worth watching every single episode with no boring bits. There were some very outlandish, quirky, cocky and even outright silly characters but all of them were serious about cooking and not just for the sake of appearing on a TV show. 3. The rules and challenges - I appreciate how this show is not all about who cooks the best dish wins. It also tests their food knowledge, cooking techniques, culinary skills, personal creativity, communication and leadership skills, cooking in teams and under pressure, their business acumen and so much more. I love how each round's challenge is unique and non-repetitive. 4. Series Length - Overall an easy watch with just the right number of episodes . Editing was necessary to hasten the flow otherwise it would be too long to watch each contestant cook from start to end but you get to hear the comments from the judges enough to know how each contestant went.
I definitely will stick around for Season 2 and more. ๐ฅฐ๐
I actually didn't mind this series despite the high episode count. I LOVE the chemistry between Ha Na and Eun Chong - his character may only be a young kid but he's got an old soul and they just light up the screen whenever their scenes are played out ๐ฅฐ It's really hard to penetrate a bond as strong as theirs - they are inseparable like two peas in a pod ๐
I get the wife's mental anguish and anxiety over a series of inexplicable incidents but it was borderline insanity for me towards the end when the writer tried to overwrite the story of a man with a perfectly treatable medical condition and replace it with supernatural elements and then ended it abruptly, was a turn off for me.
How could the wife even get away with kidnapping and assaulting her neighbour (more like attempted murder to be honest) and also killed her neighbour's pet dog be allowed to raise her own child? To me, that is probably a more serious problem than her husband being possessed by a spirit!
