Title Weaving a Tale of Love Spoiler
I can't fault this drama except for the ending which I found was a bit random to throw in the extra characters. Maybe it was an effort to extend the length of the series to a full 40-episodes or to set the direction for S2 which I haven't seen, still it was odd and unnecessary. I would rather the writers/director showed us what happened to Prince Cao after he was pardoned by Prince Li Zhi. Oh and what happened to Consort Yang? Was she sentenced to death, exiled or ??

Another thing I really appreciated was the elaborate details of their wedding and the lantern festival. A lot of these traditional customs have been lost in societal evolution so it was really nice to see them (even if some were just pseudo-folklore) being played out in a drama.

Props to actual tailors, dressmakers and designers who worked tirelessly on this drama - all the costumes were so pretty 🥰

She's a great child actor and absolutely adorable. So cute and gorgeous she looks like a mini version of Dilraba Dilmurat 🥰 I hope she will have a successful career if she's serious about acting 😊

I'm not sure what I've just watched. Everyone was so morally bankrupt, foolish yet vulnerable at the same time it made the story sickeningly twisted. I could not bring myself to like nor sympathise with any of the characters in this drama.

Title One and Only
I just completed the series and it had me bawling my eyes out. This has to be one of the best tragic love stories in a period drama, for me at least. Their love story was compellingly pure, unconditional and yet heartbreaking - you could feel they truly love each other but could not explicitly say or commit to one another because of various constraints. It is indeed exhausting, when your love is constantly under scrutiny, bound and set by traditions, rules, customs and expectations.

I usually avoid watching melancholic dramas because it takes me days to recover and the last three I watched feeling completely drained of emotions were "Ashes of Love", "Eternal Love" & "Love & Redemption" However, if you could emotionally connect with those three dramas, you must not miss "One & Only".

1. Maybe he mastered it. That was a bit easy I admit.3.Yi Su can't die. When she was killed as a toddler she transformed…
Oh yeah, that's right! I completely forgot about that! Then it's blessing her father was not successful in possessing her. Thanks for clarifying though, I wouldn't have remembered it if it weren't for you 😊

Title Sweet Home Season 3 Spoiler
I was glued to my sit throughout S1-2 and that was because the story was engaging and I watched them back to back but by the time S3 was released, I have almost forgotten most of the characters except the main ones, hence I had to pause multiple times to check out their names/roles on MDL to jog my memory whenever they were reintroduced again in S3. There were playback scenes in S3 from S1-2, but majority of times there were none so I highly recommend viewers to watch them in the order of sequence so that the story is easier to follow.

The happy ending is perhaps what they had hoped for but to me, it felt like Sang Uk/Sang Won's character was killed off too easily before it even had a chance to reach climax! Least to say, the ending also left me confused with a lot of questions (listed as below)....maybe they are aiming to produce S4 to fill in the gaps when Song Kang and Jin Young are discharged 😁

1. Hyun Soo took a long time to "awaken" Yi Kyung from her monster domination, yet in the end he could just "revert" hundreds of monsterised survivors back to being humans so easily and quickly that they come back to the camp in truckloads?

2. Sang Uk knows Yi Kyung & Jin Ok ahjumma (Yeung Su's adoptive mum) from S1, yet the entire time his body was possessed, he did not resist Sang Won, yet in the end, he managed to control Sang Won almost effortlessly hence they both perished in the fire...if his willpower was that strong, why didn't he try to stop Sang Won when Sang Won attacked Yi Kyung and Jin Ok?

3. Towards the end of the show, Yeung Su was with a long-haired girl. I suspect she is Yi Su?? (based on the mark shown on her hand) but how was she resurrected??...and if resurrecting the dead was possible, why can't that happen for others?

4. It was a lame attempt by the writer/creators/director to try and slot in a romantic storyline between the priest and Sun Hwa. What was their background story? Without any explanation, this couple failed to make an impact and their scenes were unnecessary.... and wasn't Sun Hwa symptomatic? If she was and yet she ran away with the priest, wouldn't she transform into a monster eventually?

Despite the above comments, I would still say it's a decent watch but there is a great deal of gory scenes so please be prepared for those....

Overall, solid performance - I would rate this 8/10.

I have never been this excited over a movie, crazily counting down to its premiere. I hope it will live up to its hype. Just few more sleeps to go 😊

I like the premise of the story so far and I know it's a little too early to comment since I'm only on Ep03 but honestly, I feel like like I'm watching a musical more than a drama - the background music is annoying me. While I can understand basic Mandarin, I'm not a native speaker so I try to pick up the language by watching Chinese dramas but the loud background music is competing with the actors' voices I can barely hear them and the subtitles disappear quicker than I could catch it so it's taking me longer to finish an episode 😒
With good dialogues, subtitles and facial expressions I'm sure we are able to judge whether a scene is meant to be comical or not without the assistance of these extra background music. In my opinion, it detracts more than it attracts. Is there another version out there without these annoying music or is this how the original drama was released?

they're listed as guest roles for billing reasons and I think aside from the brother, the rest come and go in…

Thanks for pointing that out. I interpreted it the same way too, that Wallace would be her most unforgettable love seeing how she labels him as his soulmate but I was initially a tad confused how his character could be of such significance if he was just playing a guest role.

I'm drawn to this because I enjoyed watching "My Best Friend's Story" in which there were two very strong FLs narrating their own stories as they unfold and this drama gives off the same vibes so I hope it would be worth watching 😊

That makes absolute sense, thank you! Still, I had hoped the cast list (if it had a ML) would give us a clue as to who will be her most endearing love in this drama.

I find it strange how all the FL's love interests named in the above synopsis are listed down as having guest roles but there's no mention of the ML at all? (I'll have to assume it's Tong Da Wei?)

Sounds like all her relationships are doomed to fail 😢 Unfortunately not many of us can sustain a long-lasting relationship. Over-analysing situations and circumstances sometimes can kill the romance so we should learn/try to enjoy the process and cherish the people we love while we are in love 💕

The show obviously had a fairly generous budget hence I was surprised they didn't provide Seo Jun with a dough mixer and V/Woo Shik with a food processor, considering they were running a restaurant (even if it was just for a week) and cooking commercial quantities of food too. It would have saved them heaps of time , energy and definitely less stress. Oh well, I guess this must be one of the challenges they needed to overcome. Lol pretty sure everyone gained some muscle weight after this show ended.

Although I have only just started watching it, I would highly recommend this show, especially to those who are keen and curious about running a cafe/restaurant. It would give you lots of insights, tips and pointers, jokes, banters and entertainment :)

I'm a sucker for romance but this drama just fell flat for me. There were far too many corny dialogues and cringe-worthy scenes that seemed over the top and at times, it appeared to me as though the FL herself, was either embarrassed or uncomfortable filming those scenes. For example, the scene whereby the ML "cleanned" her face with soap and ended up kissing her....it was probably meant to be a romantic/steamy scene but watching him kissed her with soap all over their lips and her looking uncomfortable was not pleasant. Lol hopefully they used frothed milk to resemble foamy soap.

I also had to fast forward heaps to get to the end of each episode and I seldom do this....

S2 has equally high ratings so I'd love to check that out and see if there's any redemption in the drama's writing and direction.

Lol when I saw the drama's title, the first thing I thought of was a scene in Kung Fu Panda when Po's adoptive father told him the secret ingredient to his noodle soup was .... 🤣😁

The director and screenwriter will choose the most suitable candidate to take up the leading roles so I hope for those who are excited about this drama, they will look forward to its production without first casting stereotypic opinions. I'm sure most of us enjoyed "Goblin" because Gong Yoo had undeniable chemistry with Kim Go Eun in there.

Dramas may be based on fictional writing but majority of times they are conjured up to mirror real-life events. There are many couples in our modern society consisting of different cultures, ages, races and orientations, so why is it so hard to accept the same in the drama world? What moves us is the acting and story-telling and the rest should be secondary.
