I really like the first two episodes! 😍 Love the flashback to when he was a kid. Japanese BL just hits differently! 🇯🇵 I’m looking forward to the remaining 4 episodes! 🎉 Wish we had more Japanese BL, though—literally only 2 for 2025 so far: this one and I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama Season 2.

After watching 4 out of 24 episodes of the 2025 remake Revenged Love (which I’m loving so far and is one of my favorites this year!), I decided to check out the original 2015 Falling in Love with a Rival to see how it compares. Let’s just say, it doesn't quite measure up.

The series is much shorter than Revenged Love (8 episodes at 20 minutes each + a 10-minute special), and while there are no snake scenes like in the remake (which I didn’t mind), it still doesn’t hold the same charm. The plot was messy and felt like scenes were just cut and pasted together, with no real flow. 🌀

The rooms and sets were outdated for a 2015 series—honestly, Addicted (2016) had better visuals. While I liked the chemistry between Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei, some of their movements were awkward and didn’t feel natural at all. Even their uncut kissing scenes were poorly shot. 😬

The second couple had only about 2 minutes of screen time, which was a huge disappointment since Revenged Love really focuses on them. 😞

Overall, while I did enjoy a few scenes, the remake is definitely the superior version. If you’re curious, I’d recommend checking out Revenged Love first!

Just finished this series and I really enjoyed Moon and Dust! The cast is gorgeous, the cinematography is beautiful, and the acting is on point. The stepbrother trope was executed perfectly, and I love how Chinese BL brings a level of maturity and subtlety that other BLs often miss. 🔥 No cringey sound effects either! My only complaint is the short 15-minute episodes and the open ending—I’m hoping for a special episode! 🤞

Was excited for a countryside BL, but it fell short. The scenery was beautiful, and the chemistry between Loy and Kaew was 🔥 (especially that first kiss!), but that's about where the positives end. The acting, editing, and pacing were off, and the story got lost with too many characters. The plot, writing, and especially the ending were disappointing. Not a BL I'd recommend unless you’re here for a few hot moments. 💔

MaxNat never miss… but the plot kinda did
I love MaxNat from Cutie Pie, Two Worlds, and now Suntiny—their chemistry is 🔥 and the kiss/NC scenes in Naughty Babe were so good! Visually, the series is stunning too 🌅🎬

But… the plot was a bit messy and not that exciting 😕 I really wish they had better writing because Max and Nat can act, no doubt.

Overall, a good watch for MaxNat fans, but not a great series.

The entire scene was fully censored, with no graphic content depicted. Although the subject matter is serious, the portrayal emphasized the emotional and narrative impact rather than any explicit visuals

This drama is pure magic. Episodes 3 and 4 completely stole my heart — their chemistry is off the charts, and the way they look at each other? Utterly romantic. I could easily binge all 20 remaining episodes in one breathless sitting. Having to wait another 7 days feels like the cruelest kind of heartbreak.

The ice cream kiss was such a sweet surprise — playful, tender, and completely natural. I’m so glad it wasn’t another one of those cliché accident kisses we see in 99% of BLs these days. It felt genuine and intimate, adding even more charm to their growing connection.

I agree with you. I’m currently watching 25 BL series that are airing, and Ball Boy Tactics, Revenged Love, and Knock Out are my top picks. All three are 10/10!

I’m seriously in love with this show 🥹💖 It’s just so sweet and adorable! The leads have amazing chemistry—one is hot and handsome 🔥👑 and the other is just the cutest little bean 🐰💗

What I also adore is how this series gets straight to the point 🎯 I just finished Exclusive Love (Taiwan BL) last month, and no joke—it took 12 whole episodes just to confess 😩💀 Meanwhile, here? Boom—they say they like each other with no dragging or confusion. It’s honest, clear, and so wholesome 🥰

There seems to be a lot of complaints about the increase in the number of episodes, but honestly, I don’t mind it. It’s nice having something to watch midweek—on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
