WHAT A DRAMA QUEEN

Ditching your friends in the clothing store just so you can hang around with your crush, then having the nerve to tell your friends that your phone died. Asamiya didn’t even regret it for a second! And then he goes, “Our first bookstore date, plus a gift from Mayama. Even if my life ended today, I have no regrets.” What a drama queen! Honestly, if I were him, I would have done the exact same thing. When your crush is right there, priorities are priorities.

Episode 16 Really Went There!

Omg, that ice cream scene and the riding scene in episode 16!!! 😭🔥 I was NOT expecting that from a Chinese BL! They really went there and I’m absolutely living for it 😂That ending scene in the sauna was so beautiful. Shi Xian said he never thought he had a family, but Teng Mo held his hand and told him, “From now on, my parents are your parents, and my home is your home.”So sweet 🥹 What a beautiful series. I’m so glad we got a happy ending!

A Light in the Darkest Tunnel

It is heartbreaking to imagine losing both of your parents, and then having the only person you have left, your sister, taken away from you right in front of your eyes. In that moment, Wu Shi Xian had no one left in the world. But thankfully, Teng Mo was there. He became the light in the darkest tunnel, the one person who could stay beside him when everything else had been taken away. Please stay strong, Wu Shi Xian. You have already endured more pain than anyone should ever have to bear. And the last words from his sister before she passed away were even more heartbreaking. She spoke about how difficult it is to live as a same sex couple, especially in China, where same sex marriage is still not legally recognized. Their love was never supposed to be something they had to suffer for.Sometimes the people we love are taken from us far too soon, leaving behind memories, pain, and a silence that can never truly be filled. I hope Wu Shi Xian finds the strength to keep going, and I hope Teng Mo continues to be the light that guides him through the darkness.

So Happy to See Their Support

So glad both of Teng Mo’s parents are so supportive! At first, Teng Mo's mother always talked about wanting a daughter in law and grandchildren, so I was honestly surprised that they accepted Wu Shi Xian so easily. Even his dad is so supportive! 🥹❤️It makes me really happy to see Wu Shi Xian being welcomed and accepted by his family. Their support means so much, especially considering everything they have already been through.

Rooftop Hugs, Sweet Friendships, and All the Warm Fuzzy Feelings

The back hug on the rooftop, with Serizawa quietly holding Suzuki, was just so cute and utterly adorable. Then Serizawa’s popular group of friends suddenly walked in and asked, “Why are you capturing him?” That moment was absolutely hilarious. And Serizawa’s little reply, “I’m not capturing him, we’re bonding,” was honestly the sweetest thing ever. Then Suzuki saw them and was about to leave, but they had brought lunch for him so they could all eat together. That little gesture said so much about their friendship. It was warm, caring, and genuinely wholesome.I love how this show can make the smallest moments feel so precious. The quiet affection, the teasing, the friendship, and the way they naturally care for each other just melts my heart. I love this show so much.

Ainosuke Made the Right Choice

What the nephew did was wrong. He clearly knew that Ainosuke was in a relationship with his uncle, yet he still approached him. But I’m glad Ainosuke made it clear that he loves Hideaki, and the nephew backed away instead of forcing anything. I really respect him for that.

Ready for desserts

Episode 8 preview 😂“Then I’ll gladly help myself to dessert,” while having Ainosuke’s butt right in Hideaki’s face. He’s definitely ready for his dessert 😂This show is so naughty, and I’m absolutely loving it!

Sometimes Love Is Stronger Than the Fear of Losing Someone Again ❤️

“I’m not angry with you, Jane. Because I feel that if I go back to being with you again, I wouldn’t be able to stand it if I had to lose you one more time.”What a powerful line. 🥹❤️Imagine loving someone so deeply, being separated from them for five years, and carrying all that pain with you. You love them so much that the thought of losing them again is unbearable, so you choose to distance yourself instead. You convince yourself that staying away is easier than risking that heartbreak all over again. But then, little by little, he starts finding his way back into your heart. And suddenly, all those feelings you tried so hard to bury come rushing back. What a beautiful, heartbreaking love scene. I’m so glad they’re finally back together. 🥹❤️Sometimes, you don’t truly realise how much you love someone until they’re gone. And sometimes, it takes losing them to understand that your heart never really let them go. ❤️

An Epic Premiere That Exceeded My Expectations

After watching Episodes 1 and 2, I can confidently say that this drama has exceeded my expectations. You can watch Ash on Youku or YouTube, with Episode 1 available for free. And despite the “Miniseries” tag, this definitely does not feel like a typical miniseries. Episode 1 is around 50 minutes long, while Episode 2 is around 45 minutes, so we are getting a proper full-length viewing experience. And WOW, what an epic premiere! I already had a feeling Ash was going to be good after watching the trailer, but the first two episodes completely sold me. This drama gives us everything in one package: action, crime, romance, police investigations, undercover work, fighting, suspense and intense chemistry. We have Hui Leuk Tou, our CEO, and our undercover police officer, who takes on different identities throughout the story. During his undercover operation, the police officer goes by Cheung Wai Keung, complete with dyed hair and a completely different appearance. Once the operation is over and he returns to his life as a police officer, he takes on the identity of Mok Fei Foon.I LOVE this dynamic because it genuinely feels like we are watching two different versions of the same character. The change in his appearance, personality and circumstances makes him so much more interesting to watch, and I’m really curious to see how these different sides of his character develop as the story continues.

A Clever Use of Perspective and Emotion

One of my favourite emotional moments was when the two finally reunited in the alley after being apart and missing each other. I also really enjoyed how the drama plays with perspective. At the end of Episode 1, we experience the events through Hui Leuk Tou’s eyes, while Episode 2 begins by showing the same situation from Mok Fei Foon’s point of view. I thought this was such a clever storytelling choice because it allows us to understand what both men were going through and how they were feeling, rather than simply seeing the story from one side. The flashbacks also add another layer to the story, gradually revealing more about their relationship and providing context for everything that has happened between them.

Asamiya’s Friends Are So Cute

I loved Asamiya’s two friends! They are so supportive and even tease him about going for Mayama, but they never mock him. 🥰That back hug on the balcony was so sweet. cute and adorable! I just wish this was a university BL instead of a high school BL, especially since the actors are a bit too old to be playing high school students, at 28 and 26 years old. 😂 However, I’m still really enjoying this drama and can’t wait for the next episodes!

Here We Go Again With the Third Wheel

They always love introducing a third person into the couple 😂 So the nephew saw his uncle holding hands with Ainosuke on the street. I’m not sure why he’s trying to make a move and asking if Ainosuke is single. This is so common in BL, always introducing a third wheel, but honestly, I’m all for it 😂

When Love Makes You Question Everything

Imagine being a 38 year old guy, single, and completely convinced that you could never fall for someone like him. Then, little by little, he starts to find a way into your heart. He protects you, shields you, and when you are attacked at the bar, he puts himself in harm’s way and gets hurt trying to protect you. And despite all his fears, he finds the courage to stand in front of you and confess the feelings he has been carrying in his heart. How could you not be moved by that kind of love?Honestly, if I were in his shoes, that kind of love would make me question everything I thought I knew about myself. It could turn me from straight to gay without hesitation. Because when someone loves you that deeply, protects you that fiercely, and chooses you even when it hurts, maybe love stops being about gender and simply becomes about the person who makes your heart feel safe. That kind of love would absolutely melt me. ❤️

When Love Hurts the Most 💔

My Thoughts on Episode 5 💔Yet another beautiful episode. This story keeps breaking my heart in the quietest way. When Natsuki’s sister confronted him and asked if he had a crush on someone, then told him to just go for it, my heart sank. She even mentioned unrequited love. And now I can’t help but wonder if she really doesn’t love Sota anymore. Maybe her heart has already moved on. Maybe there is someone else she loves. When Sota was sick, she said she had to go to work. She didn’t seem particularly worried about him, which made me think she might not have those feelings for him anymore. But she still visited him and called him after work, so I can understand that she still cares about him deeply. But Natsuki…The way Natsuki worries about Sota is completely different. He said that when his sister was sick and asked him to do things for her, he found it annoying. But when Sota became sick, everything changed. He was genuinely worried. He couldn’t just sit there and do nothing. He ran all the way to Sota’s apartment just to make sure he was okay. That isn’t just concern. That is love. And his confession absolutely broke me.The way he finally said what was in his heart, then immediately cried and ran away… it felt like he had been carrying those feelings for so long, but the moment they finally came out, he couldn’t bear the weight of them.Because deep down, Natsuki knows. He knows Sota is his sister’s boyfriend. He knows his feelings are wrong in the situation they’re in.And maybe that’s why he ran.Not because he regretted loving Sota, but because he felt guilty for loving someone he believed he shouldn’t.Then Sota came after him.He didn’t just stay there. He chased after Natsuki. And then his sister saw them.My heart stopped. From the preview, it looks like she might finally find out everything and perhaps understand her brother’s feelings. I really hope she does. What I love most about this story is that it doesn’t feel toxic. Nobody is deliberately trying to hurt anyone. There is no unnecessary villain. There are just people who are confused, scared, and falling in love when they probably shouldn’t.And somehow, that makes it hurt even more.Sometimes love isn’t beautiful because it is easy.Sometimes it is beautiful because it is painful, complicated, and impossible to ignore. 💔

Jae On’s Endless List of Jobs

How many jobs does Jae On have?Massage therapist, actor, convenience store worker, café worker, costume character, and pet babysitter.I know it’s just a TV series, but wouldn’t it make more sense to work one job instead of constantly changing uniforms and commuting from one workplace to another? In my country, having multiple jobs can also mean paying more tax, so I don’t really see the point of having that many jobs. And what are the chances of Jae On running into Jung I Hyeon at every single one of those jobs? This show is so cute and adorable, but it’s also hilariously unrealistic lol.
