I truly hate maids like these and they are a fixture in almost every historical drama. They completely destroy the drama for me. Why any FL would let maid go on mouthing like that I dont know.

that goes without saying. FL did not use her brains and I blame the screenwriter. No one once thought that ML lead can not be villain & they should look for a backstory since that is the trend always.

I am one of those who was planning to drop this series coz of FL....I was tired and annoyed. I stretched till ep 28 but her reactions (when she finds who LS is) don't fit the crime. They were extreme. I was done. So since you mentioned to continue I will give one last shot as I truly want to know how NH handles all the crap thrown at him.

TSOPG when you compare to mass dramas like TPoB etc will definitely seem less popular coz that drama was for the niche segment. It was not only a hit but received several awards.

Yes, that whole scene starting to end was amazing and hilarious. I even liked the ML, very realistic character.

I always wanted to share a review for this underrated drama but I am lazy to write. Today I came just to drop few lines for those in doubt and saw your comment. Yes its too long, yes its not for the masses, yes romance is not the key, yes some side characters stories was too long, yes they messed up the last arc of the story. Despite all of that it's one of my fav dramas and have rewatched several times. I think if print and subtitles were better, I would watch more. I am glad Lusi picked this drama and she was phenomenal in it.

Amazing is an understatement how she portrays herself in both the clips on X.com. If people were not haters and genuine, world would understand she is an exceptional actress. Way to go!

I am in this for the mystery, fantasy and all that goes with it so unpredictable characters is a given. What does not go with it is the crushing and school girl vibes which tbh do not go with Mu Dai's character.

Lol...since you & all others in this thread are caught up to the latest eps, tell me one thing, (I know opinion will differ) After ep 8-9 does Mu Dai's crazy crush go down. I was enjoying this show but this crushing ruined it for me. or give me perspective so that I can see it in a different light. I miss the crew

Yeah some of us discussed this below about the irritating cliches ever present in Xianxia....Its high time scripts change for C dramas...Feud is like a breath of fresh air and I only pray it does not have sad ending..I have reached ep 24 and it does not look good ending wise.

I like Feud more than MM...they are same genre and Bai Lu dramas. Even Bai Lu's acting here is amazing. It's like up until MM she was using same old template and now she has deleted all that and started a new chapter in her acting. Great Work Bai Lu

Tbh, this genre was never my cup of tea and after MM I was not very keen for another similar drama. I had so many stories in my head reincarnations, evil heavenly team, injustice to FL due to misunderstandings by some villainy side character and so on. I am at ep 13 and its going great....none of the cliched/tired tropes till now.

Yeah thats the thing in the initial episodes you don't need this crap....gradual liking would have worked a lot more better especially considering the backgrounds of each character. You have a smart, strong, cautious FL and suddenly she is all gigly crushing on ML. Then in the middle of high stakes like when they are in Wuzhu she is thinking if ML likes her or not. I know I am repeating but I am frustrated coz I really wanted to watch the show, I was excited. Anyways what's done is done. Happy watching to the rest. I picked up Feud in the meantime.
