Once MDL open the access, anyone can rate all episodes, airing or not. Yes, it is hard to track them since all users can rate. Even a platform as huge as Douban cannot control the rating and I read that they only allow 1 phone for 1 user while MDL allows all users to rate. I know it requires lots of work for even a bit of change in the database, so I just hope that we have more drama watchers who rate after watching and not those who rate because they like or dislike the certain actors.

But beside the glitching and some errors in the system (to which why it was rather difficult to access MDL) it could also be trolls (haters) work in downrating the unaired episodes. I watched the movement of the whole episodes. The graph showed more users have been giving low rating. I know that MDL rating is not reliable but it is still disheartening to see this drama gets 7.7
MDL should start by having only verified account can rate. With fewer users, they can track the raters much easier but for 'marketing' side, I doubt MDL will do that 😅

Still 4 days to go before The Vendetta of An premieres but it is already all over Weibo 😍 Youku official website on Weibo has even changed its backdrop picture with TVOA poster yesterday. Everyone (trolls & haters excluded) is excited, talking about the character Xie Huai An is different with Li Lianhua who spared everyone, while Xie Huai'an showed no mercy to his enemies. Beside Cheng Yi as the main character, TVOA also has a strong castline and many are optimistic about this drama. This drama has also entered Douban's real time TVShows.
For me, as long as they keep Cheng Yi's character in the episode instead of 'inserting a useless character' no thanks to the messy and lazy writing, this drama will be fine. Cheng Yi never fails to deliver and his eyes can even act ☺️
The YT in the cave's scene being cut off from the preview actually made sense rather than being part of the episode. I have written about this before. As a drama watcher, for me this drama is a good watch, not perfect but has been entertaining for me. It is over now, so I am going to move on to the next drama.
Yan Tuo complaining about 'The most clichéd plot happened to me' really humored me because amnesia trope is indeed rather common in Cdramas, but interestingly, this drama made a nice approach in delivering the amnesia part. What tends to be the boring trope, this drama succeded in making it endearing, funny and with a beautiful end instead. A very clever writing.
In fact, this drama has been great with plotlines and developing the story, from knowing so little about the who, what and why in the early episodes, viewers get to know little by little the full story. Why Nie Jiuluo is special, what happened 20 years ago and the chasm full of fiends.
Yes, LOTTL has flaws when it comes to the scenes shot in actual venues such as forest and cave (not studios). I appreciate the director's effort to make the scenes look real, but unfortunately, the result might not be as it was expected, since it was hard to see what was going on, with the darkness; but for everything else, this drama has done its best and captivated my heart from the beginning, with the fighting scenes, stories of the characters, the top notch chemistry between Dilraba and Chen Xingxu, and the satisfying ending, plus one of the best Cdramas' closing OST. 9 of 10.
Episode 28 is so intense and has some jumpscares. Some scenes might be too dark so you need to adjust the screen. This makes sense tho, since based on the film making trailers, the shooting took place in real cave or some underground locations, not in a studio, which actually cheaper. Episode 29 will make you emotional. Prepare your tissue.
