The first kiss!!! ๐๐ really pays off all the jumpscares this drama has been giving me in today's episodes.
The slowburn romance is burning my screen with its well written plots. Nie Jiuluo and Yan Tuo's love, understanding and the synced half-truth stories they told the fiends are flawlessly and beautifully delivered.
I am thanking those who cast Dilraba & Chen Xingxu for this drama. They are perfect. Outstanding and compatible acting skills and visuals for both action and romance.
Mad Blade and Lin Xirou's fighting is AWESOME!!! The fiend leader wearing the nun-like plastic cover versus Chinese Lara Croft truly made me fear about Jiuluo's life during the fight since she was a bit overwhelmed. Glad that NJL chose a wise move by prioritising the evidence first and abandoned the plan.

Southern Mountain Hunters are those who fight the fiends since a long time ago. The Hound Clan for tracking, the Whip for taming and the Blade for killing the fiend. The current generation has never seen a fiend before, until the forest fight. Both older and current generations did not know about human fiends either, before that fight. Nie Jiuluo is the only blade clan. Yurong is the ghost whip's descendant. Xing Shen is the best Hound clan.
Lin Xirou is the first human fiend and showed up (came to the surface) at the Yan family Mining and pretended to be Li Ergou's cousin. She became the 'nanny' for Yan Tuo.
Blood bag is the human whose blood is needed by the humanoid fiend to maintain their human form. The fiend lives together with their 'human companion' and could 'keep' the human as their lover (Chen Fu & Xu Anni) or children (Lin Xirou & Lin Ling). The fiend has to consume blood from the same bloodline.
Eating noodles at their previous 'crime scene', her showing him her diary and making the stars together. ๐๐ Just little sweet scenes, but truly made me smile. I love how this drama delivers the romance.
Bumps and bruises are inevitable during filming, and I'm very sorry to have shown you what happened today. In every fight scene, the martial arts team does their best to protect the actors. Behind the scenes, they are more prone to injury than the actors, and they always perform the stunts first. Before filming, the martial arts instructors repeatedly confirm with the actors whether the stunts are feasible, and I also carefully consider each move, only doing what I'm capable of.

That is what the story should be tho. It was 20 years ago since the last time the seniors encountered the fiends, so the juniors had no idea what the enemies's real strength was or saw one, until the forest fight. And bad for them all, since the humanoid fiends are far strongers and can think. And amongst 3 clans, it is only the blade who could make the kill move, while the hound is for tracking, the whip for taming. Even the ghost whip is not meant to kill. That is why Mr Jiang said that when the 3 are together, the fiends will be afraid (not the humanoid new version one).
Everyone is entitled to their own score but to low rate because of how the story flows is rather interesting for me since it would be out of text if they are strong now and can easily defeat the villain. They just found the manuals in today's episode so they should work out on how to be the better hunter soon.

I realised that written words can indeed mean more than said words. As per he showed up at the nick of time, he actually did not. On both occassions, he had been at both places before the fight started. He followed Xiong Hei in eps 6-7 and tracked her location in ep 9. The writing has been quite good for this drama.
Day 1, episode 4: Yan Tuo drove the car into the river after failing to make Jiuluo answer his questions.
Day 4, episodes 9 & 10: He did not want to wake her up by opening the car door and would rather eat and wait for her outside, threatened one of his few closed people for her safety and made sure that she had a healthy breakfast when she woke up. "She matters a lot to me". He is so in love ๐
This drama is getting more recognition each day with its captivating story. From #3 with 11.9% marketshare, it moved up to #2 with 12.4% on Yunhe๐๐ป

Nie Jiuluo is never a damsel in distress and doesn't need Yan Tuo to save her. She is still human and although a rare occassion, if needed, she can also accept helps from others, including YT's help to take her to a safe place, an operation for her injury, and an uncle to prepare a meal.
