The sad scene after QC died was a bit overrated. Yes, QT is allowed to be sad about the 'sacrifice' but the director could make the scene more about siblings than what could be seen as lovers. She should have remembered the kind QC before turning evil and surely did not need to hold the gift he surely meant as a lover's token.

It will be fun to watch a cute kid who has affinity with sword, poisonous reptiles as pets with the overprotective uncle Su Changhe and spoiling granddad.

So glad that even though 'serving as side character or cameo' for 12 episodes in his own male centric drama, fans and viewers alike are still favoring Chengyi. Cheng Yi never disappoints in his dramas and always slays his role mostly in wuxia/xianxia drama.
Cheng Yi has done his best for Sword and Beloved. It was the messy writing that dropped it from its throne as the most promising drama. The 10 thousand swords scene will remain a memorable and one of top notch fighting scenes I have watched.
