Yes I agree with you completely , what you said is right and it's about that we are different , Women are not men, and men are not women. That doesn’t mean one is better than the other; it’s the opposite of that. It means we complete each other in what we can’t do. That’s the bigger picture: we are on this planet to be a couple, not everyone alone trying to be the leader or fight for the title that he's better than the other .

Everything in life comes in pairs that complete each other and make the world work .

And yes, when we try to fix something and go too far, we just create another problem. What we really need is a middle way, the right and balanced way to fix things.

And yes, even in real life now, they laugh at stay-at-home wives, as if it’s a crime to be one, or as if taking care of her man is something shameful.

In C-dramas and K-dramas, when the FL is a stay-at-home wife, she’s always miserable, her husband is toxic, he abuses her financially and emotionally, and often cheats on her his excuse because she changed. And her reason that she doesn’t have time to take care of herself while taking care of him or their children or she's depressed because she give up many times and sacrifices for him .
And most of the time, this is just the starting point of the drama: then she divorces or breaks up with him, focuses on herself, and suddenly men falls for her after she changes.
She changes 180 degrees: from doing everything in the relationship with the toxic ex, to doing nothing for the ML ( when she with him ) . And the ML accepts that, supports her, and worships her. The message becomes: doing things for a man makes him toxic, but doing nothing and being “independent and strong” is what makes CEOs and near-perfect men fall for her.
You see this indirect way they demonize one lifestyle and sell another as the only ideal way to live and have a good life and partner . This is something I noticed clearly, Yyou see it in most C-dramas where the FL has an ex: she made effort in that relationship, but he was bad and toxic or he's just don't understand her and don't know how , Later with the ML, she barely does anything except listen or give emotional support, while he has to do everything to be with her and labeled a "green forest" .
And just last year alone, there were many examples of exactly this pattern. All of them had good ratings, and viewers were fighting about who is the more “green flag” ML 🤣😅.

And I completely agree with you about men’s desires and fantasies, Nowadays it’s crazy how many men are weak to their desires and get taken advantage of, in the world, a huge percentage of men are easy, have no dignity or values , just simps, honestly. That’s why sexual sites became a multi billoin dollar business. And on the other side, women are also taken advantage of, being told that doing that is “just another job.”


As for Western movies and shows, it’s too much. I agree with you completely, and I stopped watching C-dramas for the same reason. Male leads make me want to slap them because they have no self-respect or personality, just losers in love. They renamed being a simp as a “green flag,” as if disrespecting yourself is now a green flag.
When tolerating everything is a green flag, when always apologizing even when you’re not wrong is a green flag, when accepting being a second choice is greenflag,

recently kdrama episode 11 of twelve episodes drama , she breaks up with him because she wants to focus on her career. She asks him to wait for her for three years, and he says, “I’ll wait for you until you come to me,” lol. I agree with you completely.And it’s a fact that standards get higher after watching these shows, whether it’s Western series( example like Rip from Yellowstone I watch this show, and I’ve read many women asking, “Where can I find someone like him?” lol , but no normal man ever will ask where to find a woman like Beth,) or C-drama male leads (there are too many to count). They are written deliberately this way to sell the dramas and shows to the majority of viewers, who are women.The male lead changes 180 degrees after falling in love, lets the FL lead the relationship, and does more effort for her and tolerate everything. They gives the FLs this powers simply because they exists , and she can change many men and make them accept disrespect themselves, just to be with her,this unconsciously affects how people see men in real life. Expectations become higher, and when a woman is with a normal guy, it unconsciously affects how much she enjoys the relationship. like they says (comparison kills the enjoyment) And vice versa, men also get affected, but less than women in my opinion in this regard, and they get affected more in other things .) C-drama every one love me where the ML rejected the FL only because he didn’t know she was the same girl he loved online. He was being faithful, yet she made him regret that decision for two-thirds of the drama. He chased her, begged her to forgive him, and cried. Even when she broke up with him later because of a misunderstanding that show she never know him or his personality , she blamed him, and say hurtful things, never apologized, and he was still the one apologizing again,
The double standard is always the same:
If the ML breaks up with the FL for her own good, he must chase her for half the drama, fight the SML, beg, apologize, and humiliate himself before she forgives him.
If the FL does the same, she doesn’t apologize, doesn’t chase him, and acts like she’s doing him a favor by accepting him again, like Cdrama our interprenter .

The ML is always the one who has to understand, forgive, and suffer and have no dignity or backbone, or standards.

This is exactly what I’m saying about almost every C-drama I wanted to watch but drop it because of this . I can bet with anyone to give me a recent C-drama without this unbalanced power dynamic between FLs and MLs.
Like you said, every ML starts as the strongest, smartest, most ruthless, richest man, and so on. But after he meets the FL, everything becomes about her being better than him. His only role afterward is to serve her, wait for her commands, and love her unconditionally. He changes 180 degrees and becomes her shadow, someone who can’t live without her ad she's his priority .
And don’t even get me started on how they turn mls into little girls in love with soft knees the moment the FL says something or gets close to their face , because most MLs are portrayed as virgins who’ve never even touched a woman’s hand before, which is ridiculous.
